2010 marks the 20th anniversary of the UK doom titans My Dying Bride, and to commemorate two decades of doom & gloom, the band embarked upon a project to re-work familiar melodies & themes from My Dying Bride's extensive catalogue into long, flowing symphonic compositions, including new vocals & passages from Aaron Stainthorpe. These arrangements have been brought to life in co-operation with keyboard maestro Johnny Maudling (of Bal Sagoth fame) & will be released as 'Evinta', as both a 2 disc & special 3 disc set, each disc its own sprawling classical work spanning a large period of My Dying Bride's album material. The 3 disc set will also be accompanied by a specially limited 72 page hardback book featuring rare images & photographs from the band's personal archive from over the years.

An idea that has sat smouldering and never really had a reason to burn alive until now. 9 CDs worth of darkness recreated anew to mark 20 years of MDB. Io ero andato a guardare sul loro myspace....:grin::grin:. Comunque non mi interessano queste trovate, preferirei un nuovo album magari con sonorità vicine a turn loose the swans :grin:.... ma penso che sia chiedere troppo probabilmente

da quello che si deduce non ho enorme dimistichezza con l'inglese dovrebbero essere ri-edizioni dei classici MDB con l'ausilio di arrangiamenti sinfonici

spero in un bel tour che passi dall'italia e peschi un po' in tutto il repertorio allora...

 

Ordinato a poco più di 7€ The Angel And The Dark River con bonus DVD For Darkest Eyes. Direi che era d'obbligo!

 

Ottimi acquisti. Il Disco è un dei miei preferiti della sposa e il dvd è veramente devastante con Rick Miah sugli scudi.

 

Cavolo si! I MDB non sono mai stati una delle mie band preferite eppure quell'album è uno dei più belli ed emozionanti di sempre. Prima o poi dovevo acquistarlo

Io direi che sono imprescindibili turn loose the swans e the angel and the dark river.

 

Io personalmente sostituirei Like Gods Of The Sun con The Light At The End Of The World e saremmo pienamente d'accordo , questi sono i cd dei MDB che ho perchè sono quelli che mi son piaciuti al 100%. LGOTD nel finale cala troppo, non ho mai sopportato troppo le ultime tracce.. tra l'altro l'ho sempre trovato un poco sottotono e lo so che per molti fan dei MDB stò bestemmiando. Invece TLATEOTW èil mio preferito ed il primo che ho sentito e che mi ha fatto innamorare di questa band

 

Ah guarda io avrei potuto mettere tutti i loro album, ep e demo tranne l'ultimo album () che a me ha deluso parecchio....
