Si è dunque concluso il torneo, e neanche a farlo apposta, secondo le regole si è verificato un ex aequo assoluto!
Magnum - On A Storyteller's Night e Journey - Escape ottengono gli stessi punti, con lo stesso numero di punti a favore e di punti contro! Se proprio vogliamo essere puntigliosi, lo scontro diretto è stato vinto dai Magnum. Il regolamento vorrebbe a questo punto uno spareggio, ma mi permetto di fare uno strappo e decretarli vincitori a pari merito, fermo restando che gli album finalisti sono tutti dei masterpiece assoluti!

un unico appunto, ma è solo un'opinione personale, sia ben chiaro: a parità di tutto, il confronto diretto dovrebbe pur valere qualcosa, altrimenti che ci stanno a fare i confronti diretti...
buona idea quella di questo torneo, soprattutto per il fatto di aver messo in luce un gran numero di album, non a tutti conosciuti

Complimenti, è stato un torneo molto interessante, e anche molto utile...c'è molto materiale da cui pescare per i prossimi acquisti
Poi io amo profondamente "on a storyteller's.." quindi mi fa piacere che sia arrivato primo (ex equo con un altro album stupefacente)

 

Bel torneo e iniziativa meritoria.

Anzi si...

Il torneo ha le sue regole, quindi nulla da obiettare, tanto non è da questa classifica che si spodestano dal "trono" i magnifici quattro: Journey, Toto, Foreigner, Survivor.

E poi il fratellino ancora la deve scontare per ciò che ha fatto ai Mastedon... certo è che gli algoritmi sanno una sega di musica...

Per chi fosse interessato a coltivare un proficuo scambio di opinioni, ci si rivede sul topic dell'AOR...

Vedere i Dare a fondo classifica è un colpo al cuore si...
Sarebbe curioso sapere se rifacendo il torneo i risultati sarebbero gli stessi.
Ma tant' è...

Per me il quintetto ideale ( e quindi relativa topten) è rappresentato considerando SOLO gli album che hanno gareggiato da

Questi album (e questi gruppi ) rappresentano al meglio quello che il genere
ha saputo regalarci negli ultimi 25 anni in tutte le sue sfumature

Nota a margine:
Se ogni tipo di risultato ci può stare ( e ci mancherebbe) il primo omonimo degli Asia avrebbe dovuto avere una "wild card" per presenziare di diritto nei primi 5 onoris causa: vederlo eliminato da IV dei Toto ( album che mi piace molto tra l'altro...) mi ha lasicato così

molto tosto fare una classifica ma x ora i miei preferiti sono questi

 

Beh ma penso non sia questione di accordo o disaccordo.
La classifica è venuta fuori in base alle votazioni e ai gusti di chi ha partecipato al torneo.
Anche io avrei voluto vedere alcuni dischi respirare posizioni d' alta classifica ( se penso ai DARE...)
Senza contare che oggi fare una classifica diversa rispetto ad allora;
molti album ascoltati meglio oggi mi piacciono di più, altri meno.




Perchè non facciamo un altro torneo magari pensandolo con una formula diversa e includendo anche altri dischi che la volta scorsa son rimasti fuori?

ma l'assenza di images of... è ingiustificabile

ryche ti dico anche che queen of the ryche ce l'ho stampata in testa,operation mindcrime in seguito ha dettato nuove vie al metal,disco eccelso, poi dopo empire non mi son più piaciuti(Piccolo oT)

 

Beh a momenti Empire ci poteva pure entrare nel torneo

Per ascoltare "Promised Land" bisogna "dimettersi" da ascoltatore di musica propriamente e comunemente inteso e essere disposto a vedere le cose da una differente prospettiva...
