The Great Battle of Magic Powers - il Contest Power Metal

Sebbene i Rainbow abbiano gettato le basi per una certo tipo di cavalcata/speed song e sebbene vengano citati spesso e volentieri dai vari gruppi power (basti pensare al buon Henjo dei GammaRay), credo proprio che debbano essere considerati hard rock.

Evergrey direi prog, senza troppe remore, Royal Hunt sono abbastanza "indefiniti" da poter essere messi (però dovevi dirlo prima, così ce le infilavo anche io un paio di loro canzoni ^_^).
Gli Stormwitch ci starebbero vista la presenza di Hammerfall o Nocturnal Rites, anche se tendenzialmente rientrano nel metal classico (il punto è, come diceva qualcuno, che qualsiasi gruppo metal melodico degli anni '80 potrebbe essere considerato power ).




Comunque al di là del discorso sulle liste, per ora io sono abbastanza sorpreso (in positivo): intanto sono stati tirati fuori nomi/canzoni di cui mi ero dimenticato e poi anche dei gruppi famosi vedo che c'è una discreta varietà su quali siano le canzoni più apprezzate, quindi non lo vedo così scontato come contest

quoto tutto! io ho già scoperto 6-7 nomi dalle prime liste di cui o non avevo ancora sentito parlare (terasbetoni, mehida) o che avevo sempre tralasciato (airborn, kiuas).. ora ascolterò qualcosa!

 

non so, io ho ascoltato un loro disco e mi è sembrato abbastanza powerprog, della peggior specie tra l'altro.

Sicuro non sono power e se sono power, sicuro non meritano di stare in lista :P

Ho tentato di farla più varia possibile, anche se ho inserito un bel po' di canzoni dei Blind Guardian (mio gruppo preferito, non sono riuscito a togliere nessuna di quelle canzoni:grin; il fatto che non sia un grande esperto di power ha sicuramente compresso le possibilità di scelta, tuttavia trovo che, visti i miei gusti, questa sia la lista migliore. Non ho messo Running Wild e i Grave Digger, che pur piacendomi tantissimo considero gruppi heavy e non power, e oltre a questo dovevo togliere troppa roba che non si può togliere .

Ed invece si:grin:... se no perché pensi che non abbia imposto limitazioni al numero di songs di una band?

 

Quoto assolutamente! Se un gruppo ti piace, ti piace indipendentemente se esso sia un "grande" o se sia più sconosciuto... A me per esempio, al contrario di te (mi riferisco a vocalsupreme), Gamma Ray e Blind Guardian non fanno impazzire, ed è appunto questione di gusti. Mentre invece ho messo un sacco di canzoni di Sonata e Strato, quando altri possono non essere d'accordo...
Dipende solo dai gusti. Mai metterò in una lista di canzoni preferite quelle di determinati gruppi soltanto perchè sono conosciuti come i "maggiori"... e del resto mai metterò quelle di altre band solo perchè sennò il contest diventa scontato. Se mi piace una canzone la metto, se non mi piace non la metto, chissene frega di che gruppo è!
