Dalla locandina mi fà molto piacere il "celebrating new album release" ma mi spaventa parecchio il "warriors of the world 10th anniversary" senza alcun riferimento agli altri due anniversari "ben più tosti". Anche perchè dare troppo spazio a warriors of the world, considerando che l'ultima volta peraltro erano venuti proprio durante il tour di warriors of the world, vuol dire togliere tanto spazio a classici che è lustri che non suonano da noi.

 

Quando a casa devo scegliere un cd da ascoltare, WOTW è l'ultimo che mi passa per la testa, però devo ammettere che alcuni pezzi dal vivo sono micidiali.
Call to Arms, Hand of Doom, House of Death e Fight Until We Die secondo me sono perfette in un concerto.
Certo che se dovesse partire An American Trilogy le cose cambierebbero di molto..

 

Su "An American Trilogy" credo che siamo quasi tutti della stessa opinione
Ma "Swords in the Wind" piace solo a me?

No, piace molto anche a me, è solo che di lente preferirei ascoltare Heart of Steel, Master of the Wind o Die with Honour.
E dato che a un concerto dei Kings difficilmente si possono ascoltare due canzoni lente insieme, dovendo scegliere direi una di quelle lì.

Già non ci avevo pensato alla questione lente, effettivamente una Master of the Wind renderebbe felici non poche persone che scrivono qui, compreso me, riguardo a Heart of Steel (anche se è tra le loro 5-6 canzoni che preferisco) come ho già detto qualche post fa se dovessero fare un paio di pezzi da KOM preferirei Hail and Kill e la title track perchè nella mia mente non esiste concerto dei Kings senza queste due.

anche io quando ho letto ci sono rimasto di sasso!
Bisognerà vedere se lo presenteranno proprio in quella data oppure se per Giugno sarà già uscito, la seconda ipotesi è quella che mi piace di più, l'idea che possano fare canzoni che non conosco non mi esalta più di tanto.

 

ma si sapeva da settimane... l'avevano detto fin dal primo annuncio

 

Veramente a Brescia nel 2002 fecero un trittico acustico, verso il finale dello show, suonando di fila Courage - Sword in the Wind - Master of the Wind

Non hanno annunciato nulla su titolo e temi. Non so se l'idea della Asgard Saga sia proseguita: se sì, il titolo dovrebbe essere Hammer of the Gods... ma son passati anni da quelle notizie.

Come fu per Gods of War, io non riesco ad avere "fretta" dell'uscita... è una questione di carattere credo, continuo a pensare a queste cose con la mentalità di 15 anni fa, quando non c'era l'ansia da news che si scatena via web: usciva il disco, punto e basta

 

With MANOWAR non-stop in the studio working on the new record it is not easy to get a hold of them these days. The band took some time during a brief recording break to answer some frequently asked fan questions.


Q: How are MANOWAR doing?

Donnie: We’re doing great! We are having a blast in the studio, I am really happy with my drum sound and with these new songs I can really stretch out and burn.

Joey: Couldn’t be better. We are still so energized from the live shows last year that you can feel this killer energy in the studio coming out of the speakers. It’s amazing.

Q: Why haven't we heard more about the album on Facebook or on your website yet?

Eric: We've simply been so concentrated on working on the material that we literally couldn't be stopped. When you're in the middle of a creative process, or recording, there is simply no good time to take a break.

Q: What is the status on the album?

Joey: We are extremely critical of the songs in every step; I have said before that most of the stuff we reject other bands would consider finished. Finally now we are recording. And then the album goes into mixing and mastering.

Q: When will the album come out?

Karl: We will celebrate the world premiere at Gods Of Metal, Italy on June 21st. This will be our fourth headlining performance there - more than any other band ever - and the perfect place for our album premiere and return to Italy after 10 years!

Q: What can the fans expect of this new MANOWAR album?

Joey: Everything you have ever come to know and love about MANOWAR songs: Face-melting hymns of unity; Crushing and Pounding, Hard and Heavy - basically more of everything, and of course Louder!

Q: What will the title of the album be?

Joey: I would tell you but then I would have to kill you.

Q: Will the album cover feature art from the great Ken Kelly again?

Joey: Are MANOWAR fans the strongest in THE WORLD? Of course! Ken is the man! His paintings capture the spirit of our music perfectly.
