Orchestra recordings finished/Become an orchestra sponsor !

The orchestra "Klangvereinigung Vienna" with conductor Gerald Mair has recorded the orchestra parts for Edenbridge´s new album (the title will be revealed soon) in the Home Music
Studio Vienna by Georg Luksch last weekend.

Lanvall:"The result is overwhelming. We have decided to record strings, brass/woodwinds and percussion seperately this time. Everything sounds more voluminous and cleaner. The musicians of the orchestra did a tremendous job. Be prepared for a real blast !"

Lanvall: "At the beginning of the the year we got an e-mail from one of our fans, who wrote us how much he appreciated and enjoyed the sound of the Czech Film Orchestra on our album "MyEarthDream". He offered us to take a third of the costs if we gonna record with a real orchestra again. A second fan joined in with a bigger sum. We were speechless and cannot be thankful enough to have such wonderful fans !
We believe that those are not the only ones, sure there are more or even many and so we want to appeal you to be part of this action. The recording, studio and organisational costs for a real orchestra are a little fortune and hardly to be taken alone nowadays. But we want to give our wonderful fans everything they deserve, so thingless less than the maximum of quality and this includes a real orchestra in the sound we create."

Studio Update !

After recording drums and orchestra in external studios we have arrived in our own, new "Farpoint Station Studio".

All rhythm guitars have been recorded and finished last week. Next will be the clean guitar parts and the bass recordings, starting this week.

The orchestra sponsoring through you, the fans, has been a great success so far and produced overwhelming reactions. So we
were able to finance another third of the whole orchestra costs.

Studio Update !
All bass and acoustic guitar recordings finished. Still a few guitar solos to be done ! Yesterday the vocal recordings started and the first 2 songs are done. Sabine is in the form of her life and every single word we recorded is pure magic.

 

On March 1, 2013 we will play in South America for the first time. The show takes place at the Teatro Flores in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are really excited and it´s great to perform for our South American fans after such a long time !
The recordings of the new album go well ahead. Bass and acoustic guitars as well as solos are done, now Sabine is busy with recording her vocals parts.
We will reveal the title of the new album on December 21 !
At the end of November Lanvall headed to the Netherlands to record all backing vocals and choirs with Robby Valentine. The result is one more time overwhelming and the speed of Robby recording a couple of thousands of vocal takes in just 12 hours is always a miracle.
Furthermore we can announce a guest vocalist after a long long time again (remember D.C.Cooper on Aphelion).
Erik Martensson (Eclipse, W.E.T.) will join us on a duet with Sabine on the title track of the new album and delivered fantastic vocal parts, so stay tuned ! Erik is not only famous for his work as a singer and multi-instrumentalist in his own bands but also as a producer of the last albums of Jimi Jamison (ex-Survivor) and Toby Hitchcock (Pride of Lions). A great artist !

Edenbridge have finished the mix for their upcoming album "The Bonding".
Lanvall: "It was 2 weeks of hard and challenging work in Thin Ice Studio, Surrey (England), to get the numerous tracks into the right balance and find space for all the little details, but Karl Groom (Threshold) again did a tremedous job. It´s always a real pleasure to work with him and pushing ourselves to the limit."

 

Edenbridge sign with SPV !!!

EDENBRIDGE signed a new worldwide deal with german based company SPV / Steamhammer.

Bandleader and composer Lanvall comments: "We are extremly happy and proud to be part of the SPV family. After several months of meetings we feel that the title of our new album "The Bonding" fits perfectly into our new home. Our fans should expect a new album filled with emotional and powerful music and a mystical artwork which will form a unity with the message of the album.
Furthermore we wanna thank Napalm Records and especially A&R Thomas Caser for the past 6 years."

A&R Steamhammer Olly Hahn adds:" Edenbridge were always a band way ahead and I´m happy that they decided to join the SPV family. Together we will create some exciting things for the new album which will present the band in a light which they deserve!"

The new album "The Bonding" will be released on June 21st in Germany, June 24th in Europe and in the US/Canada on July 2nd. It will be available as a limited edition ecol book with a bonus CD and some exciting extras, double gatefold colored vinyl with printed inner sleeves, jewel case version and download.

 

Wolfgang Rothbauer new bass player !
Edenbridge like to welcome their new bass player Wolfgang Rothbauer. Wolfgang is a long time friend of the band and has been collaborating with Max in In Slumber and Dominik in Thirdmoon.
