Non staremo un pò esagerando?




'From the US death metal pioneers comes an unrivalled insight into the world of gore and horror that is Autopsy, in the form of new DVD 'Born Undead', released May 28th (US June 5th) on Peaceville Records.

The 'Born Undead' DVD charters the birth, death and rebirth of the legends with an extensive documentary conducted with the band themselves, as they describe how the beast came to be, and the impact their music has had on the metal world over a span of more than 20 years. The film also documents the band's long-awaited return to the studio and stage, and includes rehearsals of both new tracks and old classics for their live comeback assault. The trio of 2010 reunion shows are all featured here, with all the best classic tracks from Maryland Deathfest, PartySan festival and also Hole in the Sky in Norway, where the trio of Chris Reifert, Eric Cutler, and Danny Coralles were joined by Dan Lilker on bass.

With hours of footage, as well as extras including the band's promo video for 'All Tomorrow's Funerals', 'My Corpse Shall Rise' and more, 'Born Undead' is the ultimate set for all Autopsy and metal maniacs alike. The DVD also contains artwork from Kent Mattieu, who had collaborated with the band on their early classic (and often controversial) album covers.

One of the early breed of US death metal acts, Autopsy formed in 1987 in San Francisco, and released 4 albums on Peaceville Records - beginning with the classic debut 'Severed Survival' in 1989 - before disbanding in 1995, with members going on to form Abscess.

Autopsy triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15 year hiatus with the 2010 EP, 'The Tomb Within', along with a trio of festival headline appearances. This was followed by the release of the band's fifth studio album, 'Macabre Eternal' in 2011, to great acclaim, as well as more live festival performances throughout the US and Europe, plus the recording of new tracks combined with remastered rarities for 'All Tomorrow's Funerals', which was released in February 2012.'

L'artwork non mi piace,sicuramente meglio quello di Macabre eternal..ma ovviamente conta la musica

 

speriamo si possa ascoltare qualcosina subito. reifert è sempre sinonimo di garanzia

 

e si spera che facciano ascoltare qualcosa in anticipo per sentire com'è ma dopo il penultimo cd macabre eternal del 2011 credo che faccia brutto quest ultimo lavoro

 

che tradotto in italiano significa "credo che sarà bellissimo quest ultimo lavoro"

 

Mah, personalmente a parte 2-3 non penso che abbiano mai brillato particolarmente in quanto ad artwork (sia loro che gli Abscess, che praticamente erano sempre loro)...
E meno male visto che compensano egregiamente con album della madonna

 

a me piacciono un sacco gli artwork dei primi tre album targati autopsy. nemmeno quello di macabre eternal mi fa schifo onestamente... poi calcola che ho visto un ragazzo con un tatuaggio della copertina (ristampa) di severed survival sull'intera schiena, evidentemente gli piaceva molto ahahah

 

A me piacciono quello di Mental Funeral (bellerrimo), quello nuovo di Severed Survival e quello di The Tomb Within, tutti gli altri non mi dicono granché, e anche quello di Macabre Eternal non mi è mai piaciuto più di tanto...
Questo nuovo è proprio inguardabile, ma confido in Reifert e nella sua banda di sciroccati
