Ennesima recensione,sempre per dovere di cronaca

Di quella VHS ricordo pure un'altra scena in cui James parlava malissimo di Axl Rose per tutte le richieste che aveva fatto durante il tour insieme ai Metallica e aveva concluso il tutto con un sonoro:"Tutte stronzate!"
Là mi sento di dargli pienamente ragione invece!
E poi è divertente pure la scena in cui ci sono loro che bevono e c'è pure Slash con l'asciugamano a mo di turbante sui capelli bagnati che non capisce niente perchè ubriaco e rovescia pure delle birre e James, guardando la telecamera si pronuncia in un:"Slash va avanti a whisky!"

 

Sì ma dai, è come sei io chiedessi nel topic dei Manowar se è meglio March for Revenge (By The Soldiers of Death) di Invisible Kid

 

Va bene tutto però basta a linkare altri portali.... oramai ho perso il conto di quanti ne ho editati........

 

Si quoto le cose dette da James dette su Axl...mi ricordo anche che una data fu annullata per colpa sua nel tour insieme ai Metallica

 

A me comunque stavolta, con i sample e con i brani che sono apparsi su che hanno messo su youtube, hanno convinto. Il pre-ordine già l'ho fatto.
Non me lo sarei aspettato dai Metallica un disco su questo stile e a questo livello, che spero venda tanto così da far girare un po' di metal serio anche per la tanto odiata MTV.
Magari di riflesso avranno più spazio anche altre bands.

no perchè dai sample - tutti decenti devo dire - mi sembra la più intrigante insieme a the end of the line e all nightmare long ...

 

Non si sa ancora quale sarà...probabile cyanide in versione studio...almeno spero

The long wait; the anxious feeling; the knot in the stomach. Jelly legs. And that was just the bus ride to the record label offices where I was to be treated to a listen of the brand new Metallica album.
Never mind the years that have passed between the release of the critically mauled St Anger and the ongoing will-they-wont-they split up saga.
The mere thought there will be no more Metallica is too much to bear, of course, but if they made a record now which failed to deliver, the collective sigh would be more like a worldwide tsunami.

It is, then, my absolute stone-cold, copper-bottomed pleasure to say: This record is fantastic. The band’s newfound approach, seemingly balancing less conflict and more family time, less rebellion and more enjoying their status and embracing their legacy, has paid off in spades.
Rick Rubin’s relaxed approach seems to have done the job. Not that this album is anyway sloppy or lacking in direction. It’s crushingly heavy and its ten tracks all clock in at a skull-destroying 8 minutes plus.
There are moments such as on ‘All Nightmare Long’ that conjure up the feeling and atmosphere of the Garage days, with Hetfield’s raw delivery being especially eye opening.
‘My Apocalypse’ is like a long lost track that should have been on Master Of Puppets but has been left in a cellar maturing. Sounding, as it does, like Damage Inc but more refined.
The band, are on sublime form. Hetfield sounds revived and alive again, no flab, not carrying any excess baggage, just pure 100% focus. Ulrich turns in a great show. Trujillio slots in perfectly and Hammett - clearly glad the riffs are back - goes off like a volcano at every given opportunity. He cannot be contained.
The interplay between Hetfield and Hammett on The Day That Never Comes (with its Maiden-esque running riffs) and ‘Cyanide’ is nothing short of awe inspiring.
At the end, visibly shaken, I almost had to be helped up. People will try and pull this record apart, they will dissect the life out of it, twist it, turn it, and maybe a few will even be bitter enough to dismiss it.
The fact remains though that through all the bullshit and all the struggle, Metallica have made their best record for years – and a record that slots right into that “classic” period everyone is so rightly protective of. Heavy as hell. Metallica own us all.

ma quale fan boy,è solo corrotto come tutti gli altri giornalisti

 

Allora spiegami cosa hanno in comune questi tre pezzi: Secret of Steel,Fighting the World e Blood of My Enemies...?
E' chiaro che avendo loro uno stile ed un modo particolare di suonare (nel bene e nel male)abbiano uno stile riconoscibilissimo,ma allora potremmo dire lo stesso dei Metallica,i loro dischi sono diversi pero' lo stile e' pur sempre lo stesso(almeno fino ai cambiamenti estremi degli ultimi anni,in cui comunque e' ancora possibile riconoscere che sono loro)...

POi per carita' non voglio polemizzare ne andare Ot per una sciocchezza del genere,ci mancherebbe,anchio scherzo spesso su questo fatto ...pero' un conto e ricamarci sopra per farsi due risate,un'altro e' esserne davvero convinti.

Parlando dei Metallica,in questo giorni ho rispolverato il Black Album,e mi e' venuta una folgorazione ascoltando Struggle Within,secondo me sarebbe stata un'opener perfetta,infatti l'intro con quelle armonizzazioni di chitarra mi ha ricordato vagamente Blackened,voi cosa ne pensate?

concordo pienamente, fra tutti i sample è quella che in 30 secondi è riuscita a ricordarmi di più i tempi andati, sono molto fiducioso anche se sinceramente spero che non mettano in giro più niente prima dell'uscita ufficiale del disco, mi conosco e so che non resisterei .
