...dipende anke da cosa intendi per potenza di un gruppo...magari se sei abituato con i Gorefest.....secondo me invece il loro suond è bello tosto e forse l'unico punto debole è la voce del singer quella si ke manca un po di potenza....cmq sempre meglio le sue interpretazioni di quelle di hetfield di questi pezzi ke, con tutto il rispetto per i guyz a cui piace, a me a fatto sempre ridere come singer Kill'em alla a parte...si intende... (no perchè conosce gente ke gira dicendo ke son meglio le cover dei metallica...)...Yeahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!

a me piace molto lighting to the nations

 

Grandissima band della NWOBHM, con sonorità a tratti legate ad un certo modo di fare hard rock(led zeppelin in primis)!
Lighting è sicuramente quello di maggiore impatto, mentre Canterbury è quello più sognante per le atmosfere che regnano ascoltandolo, purtroppo Borrowed Time lo ho solo scaricato in mp3, anche perchè al contrario di certe ciofeche che ristampano questi dischi, (Borrowed e Canterbury)sono solo di import giapponese per la MCA, per cui a prezzi alti
Il periodo successivo ce li regala come una buona band più vicina a certe sonorità aor, ma comunque sempre validi, insomma una band da riscoprire certamente

Toh, noto solo ora questo topic...che dire, pur non avendo nessun album ufficiale causa scarsa reperibilità (almeno i primi 3), mi consolo col best of che consiglio a tutti coloro che vogliono farsi un idea su questa band, visto anche il prezzo irrisorio (5€).
Pochi gruppi spaziano come loro dalle puntate Hard & heavy di am i evil, Lightning to the nations, helpless al Rock '70 di Sucking my love, borrowed time, la cupa Ishmael fino alle melodie di Makin music, Call me, Out of phase.
Insomma, giù il cappello!

 

lighting to the nation è un album molto importante, tra i migliori nella nwobhm. si distinguono soprattutto per la grande qualità delle composizioni rispetto ad altri gruppi

 

io li adoro....sono stati fantastici, non ho mai sentito il loro ultimo disco però com'è??.....ad aprile vengono in italia, non ricordo dove, al nord cmq, dalle parti di treviso se non sbaglio

 

sono al sottosopra di Padova il 28 Aprile con Renegade se non sbaglio

it's electric è gran bel pezzo...Band effettivamente sottovalutata un pò.Da riscoprire....

"Well, the new album has now been completed and we at DH HQ are lucky enough to have heard the final version. What can I say?! As a biased and avid DH fan, I knew that I would like it, but this has actually blown me away! DH have really delivered the goods on this album.

"Generally, the songs are stronger than on 'All Will Be Revealed', and Dave 'Shirt' Nicholls has done an astounding job on the recording and production of this album — it really packs a punch from start to finish. In short I don't think DH have sounded better than they do on 'What's In Your Head?' There's plenty of the classic DH riffery, tasteful solos and solid rhythm. All band members shine, and the production and songs give 'What's In Your Head?' a modern contemporary feel.

"Instant favorites are 'This Planet And Me', 'Killing Me', and 'Nothing To Lose'. The band are all also really proud of the results and are looking forward to premiering some of the meterial live at the Robin in Bilston on April 19th. You are all going to love it!

"DIAMOND HEAD will be playing some dates in Ireland this summer. So far, dates have been confirmed for Cork, Kilkenny and Dublin. The show at the Robin 2 in Bilston will be a special show featuring the world premier of songs from the new album 'What's In Your Head?'"
