quando si parla di miti come i Bathory e Quorthon non riesco a controllare la mia tamarraggine

 

ascoltato bene blood fire death. molto bello devo dire, seppure non è ancora prettamente vikingo come il suo successore. devo dire che le prime due (lo, so, la prima è un'intro, ma che mitica intro!) e la title track rappresentano il cambiamento di quorthon verso il viking. le altre sono canzoni thrash, semplicemente, e devo dire che non mi hanno preso come le prima citate tracce. un buon album comunque.
riconfermo twilight of the gods come un lavoro più introspettivo del pedecessore. l'assolo della title track rimane splendido. e con questo ho finito la discografia di quorthon

 

Di Blood fire death che mi fanno impazzire sono The golden walls of heaven, Dies Irae,A fine day to day e Blood fire death.
Le prime due che ho citato sono ancora legate al periodo thrash/black. Vi svelo anche una curiosità: sia Golden walls od heaven che Dies Irae hanno messaggi subliminali: Golden walls, nel testo, ogni prima lettera del capoverso , letta poi in verticale, crea la parola SATAN:

questo invece è il testo di DIES IRAE......il cui gioco è lo stesso di Golden walls...ma la frase che viene fuori è "CHRIST BASTARD SON OF HEAVEN"

Il resto che dire....epico e thrash unito........il meglio proprio.....

avete notato, no, che in album come blood fire death, hammerheart e credo blood on ice, c'è sempre una traccia nascost sul finale, che credo sia interpretabile com un "ritornerò" ?
come mai in twilight non c'è?
semba quasi che hammerheart sia il suo testamento...visto che non annuncia il suo ritorno

 

1 - Beh nascosta proprio non si direbbe, dato che è normalmente computata come le altre...

2 - A dire il vero nel mio Twilight c'è... e mi pare che sia presente in tutta la discografia di Quorthon, con cambiamenti minimi...

 

guarda, per me hammerheart è una traccia così suprema che non necessita di outro, si outreggia da sola
testamento non direi, perchè poi il buon thomas ritorna con blood e i due nordland

 

nel mio disco non è presente la outro
cmq la cosa che mi fa stare male è il fatto che alla fine del II di nordland è presente la suddetta outro, segno chiaro che quorthon volesse tornare

 

difatti ho detto "sembra"...

 

Eh non credo che dopo Nordland II avesse in programma di morire...

 

la cosa che mi lascia più rammaricato è il pensiero che quorthon aveva da scrivere ancora capitoli importanti nella storia della musica, e il fatto che ha messo l'outro nel II di nordland voleva dire che sarebbe di sicuro ritornato. non come nel caso di twilight of the gods, dove non pose l'outro, ed infatti si dedico ad altri lavori, più thrash e meno viking, per ritornare nel '96 con blood on ice
