Ma... ma... ma... MA SONO GRANDIOSI!!!!! (il video poi è proprio un tajo!!!)
Voglio questo disco!!!

Ecco, lo sapevo che mi ero dimenticato qualcosa!!
Comunque questo è veramente un gran CD: mi metto tra quelli che considerano "The Black Halo" il loro capolavoro, e questo è tutto dire (anche di quanto idiota sono a scordarmeli... :ehm: perdonami Gandalf!!)

 

-Kamelot - The Black Halo
Album della consacrazione e quadratura del cerchio delle raffinate intuizioni di "Epica". Il mio TOP album per il 2005.
-Helloween - Keeper of the seven keys - The legacy
"The king for a 1000 years" è il mio brano dell'anno, indescrivibili le emozioni provate ascoltandola la prima volta, dopo aver aperto con ansia il digipak (...e aggiungo: a morte gli mp3!).
-Riverside - Second life syndrome
Sto tuttora centellinando gli ascolti di questo disco viscerale dedicandogli i momenti di maggior attenzione.
-Circus Maximus - The 1st Chapter
La mia scoperta dell'anno in campo prog.
-Bruce Dickinson - Tyranny of souls
Non ai livelli di Chemical Wedding, di cui pure segue le (alcune) orme, ma il binomio Dickinson/Roy Z è sempre una garanzia. Molti non concorderanno, ma io rimpiango l'aver dovuto aspettare 7 anni.....
-Shadow Gallery - Room V
Ennesima conferma di una band straordinaria: il prog melodico e tecnico come non lo fa più nessuno.
-Dream Theater - Octavarium
8° album, un disco diverso dall'altro, con qualità e personalità mai mancanti.
-Gamma Ray - Majestic
Un ritorno finalmente su buoni livelli dopo qualche anno di appannamento. My Temple da applausi.
-Labyrinth - Freeman
Lieve cambio di rotta ma tratti distintivi sempre presenti. L'interpretazione di Tiranti in "Malcolm Grey" la ritengo degna del miglior Geoff Tate, scusate se è poco.
-Vision Divine - The perfect machine
Un'altra grande realtà del metal italiano con un concept futuristico sottolineato da suoni e arrangiamenti di grande impatto!

Delusione dell'anno: Shaaman - Reason
In realtà un disco discreto, un heavy/rock con qualche raffinatezza, però, purtroppo, nessuna genialità, scarsi personalità e carattere distintivo.
Discreto anche il ritorno per gli Stratovarius, ma nel loro caso si tratta di un trend in crescita che fa ben sperare.

 

1. Rock and roll is dead - The Hellacopters

Assolutamente la migliore uscita in questo povero 2005. Gli Hellacopters, pur rallentando leggermente i ritmo, incastonano un' altra pietra miliare nella corona dell' Hard rock.

2. Party animals - Turbonegro

Questo è decisamente il peggior album dei miei beniamini Norvegesi, ciò non significa che il risultato faccia schifo, anzi...
Se gli Hellacopters hanno leggermete rallentato i Turbonegro hanno tirato il freno a mano, perdendo (o più probabilmente mettendo in standby) molti degli elementi punk che li contraddistinguono e assestandosi su un Hard rock stradaiolo e allo stesso tempo luccicante.

3. Hollywood rocks box set - A.A.V.V.

Non possiedo questo box ma leggendo i titoli dei 4 cd inclusi mi sono accorto di possedere già il 70 % circa del materiale contenuto: purissimo Glam, Street, Hard'n'roll, Hard'n'heavy 100% Losangeliano.
Un box per i collezionisti e per i nostalgici. Presto me lo accaparrerò anch'io (quando il mio portafoglio mi darò l'ok).

immolation - harnessing ruin: come gia detto sopra, un disco passato silenziosamente per molti, ma non per quelli che apprezzano chi suona death ad altissimi livelli dopo anni ed anni. fantastico.

moonsorrow - verisaken (o come si scrive:P): maestoso

nile - annihilation of the wicked: le mie aspettative erano spropositate, ma rimane un disco superiore.

aborted - the archaic abbattior: completo e vario. una mazzata molto ben suonata e concepita

hate eternal - i,monarch: per me la sorpresa più bella. mia aspettavo la classica bordata, ma così no...per me il disco dell'anno, sembra fatto su misura per i miei gusti.

2) Opeth - Ghost reveries - Un disco che farà discutere a lungo e farà storcere il naso agli affezionati della prima parte della discografia degli Opeth..ma per quanto mi riguarda questo disco è stupendo..raffinato e potente..un gruppo che non sbaglia mai.
3) Primordial - The gathering wilderness - Che dire la sorpresa dell'anno..gli album precedenti erano sicuramente buoni..ma con questo hanno tirato fuori il capolavoro della loro discografia..una perla l'ho ascoltato per mesi..epico e drammatico..un gruppo da scoprire!
4) Moonsorrow - Verisaaket - Davvero maestoso quest'album..i moonsorrow sono il gruppo viking che preferisco..davvero esagerati e questo è il loro album che mi è piaciuto di più fino a questo momento

questi sono sicuramente i dischi che ho apprezzato di più tra le uscite del 2005..poi mi sono piaciuti anche i nuovi dei draconian e di falkenbach

 

Ma methods.. dei Brodequin non è del 2004? :0

 

azz...hai ragione, ma siccome lo scoperto nel 2005 è passato fra tutti gli altri:P.

 

Guagahgah pensavo di essermi sbagliato io, e in quel caso avrei dovuto inserirlo in cima alla lista!

 

Aggiungo prepotentemente Apocalyptica - Apocalyptica, dopo averli visti al Wacken con quel disumano del batterista, questo disco conferma i miglioramenti.

 

i miei oscar:

hatesphere: the sickness within (swedish come pice a me)
children of bodom: are you dead yet? (vario ed efficace, grande colpo per laiho e co.)
helloween: keeper the seven keys pt.3 - the legacy (grande ritorno della power band per eccellenza)

disco rivelazione:

the wake: death-a-holic (finlandesi che suonano swedish puro, veloce e grintoso, da avere)

delusione dell'anno:

stratovarius: stratovarius (fiacco, senza ispirazione e a volte davvero pesante, peggio di cosí?)

 

Mafia -Black Label Society
classico alblum heavy made zakk wilde
cambia forse il suono della chitarra ancora più sporco
ma riesce a far capire come si suona la chitarra

 

il 2005 si è rivelato un buonissimo anno in ambito musicale. i miei preferiti di quest'anno sono:

Nevermore - This godless endeavor: ottimo ritorno dopo un disco che aveva diviso la critica. per me non hanno sbagliato un colpo, e questa è l'ennesima conferma. Seguito pure da uno splendido live.

Opeth - Ghost Reveries - altro grande album per una grande band, anche loro non sbagliano un disco e questo non è da meno.

Arcturus - Sideshow Symphonies - disco forse più immediato rispetto ai 2 precedenti, ma non meno bello. non male al cantato vortex anche se Garm è Garm.

Klimt 1918- Dopoguerra - ottima conferma dopo undressed momento, forse il cd è meno metal, ma non per questo meno bello.
aspetto che facciano un tour italiano decente, per vedere che sono in grado di fare live.

molto buoni anche i ritorni di dark tranquillity,kreator e destruction.
in ambito viking molto bello il nuovo Manegarm.
