Dave, oltre ad essere una persona intelligente e, in un certo senso il frontman del gruppo (nelle interviste parla molto meglio degl'altri), è un artista a 360°; ha molti interessi in campo musicale nelle forme e correnti più disparate.
Recentemente ha rilasciato un'intervista in cui dichiara di voler suonare fino alla vecchiaia (ripondendo indirettamente al suo amico, Kerry King, che aveva affermato che "...non mi ci vedo a suonare fino a 60 anni...")

 

Dave è veramente un gran personaggio musicale e non...

No, non credo proprio che King abbia accettato che un membro esterno scrivesse parti di un disco sul quale questa persona non avrebbe registrato.
