Manowar

Ross mi è sempre piaciuto di più perchè scriveva roba buona, epica e con il giusto piglio. Se ne è sentita molto la mancanza. A Karl probabilmente manca un po' di personalità... Però è dura fare paragoni dopo la sterzata sonora degli ultimi anni...

 

E' vero,non so come sarebbe stato Ross negli ultimi album.
Forse era la sua la vera anima Epic della band.

 

karl mi sta simpatico... è un pokino molle, però sta bene nel contesto... serve qualcuno di "normale" nel gruppo...

nell'ultimo album il buon karl ha composto (con joey) swords in the windl: il miglior brano del disco!

eric lo adoro!!! per me nn è il più grande cantante metal, ma è la miglior voce maskile nel panorama metal: cavolo, nn cè nessuno ke abbia un timbro vocale come il suo! ha una voce morbida, calda, suadente, elegante, piena (nn so se intendete cosa voglia dire con piena, ma nn so come altro descriverla)...

mi fa commuovere nei brani lenti!!! nn ci sono r.j. dio, dickinsons, matos, kiske, tate e alford ke reggano il confronto con la bellezza del tono di voce di eric e con la sua capacità interpretativa...

Non è male, ma non è neppure Ross...penso che quest'ultimo avesse tutta un'altra personalità...

che voi sappiate, i doppi cd come questo sono prodotti "originali"?

 

Li ho visti pure io spesso su ebay...
Bo,io preferisco i "classici" cd normali,questi doppi nn mi ispirano molta ufficialita',poi puo' darsi che mi sbaglio....

 

Boh, a me sanno di una sorta di ristampe, ma sull'ufficialità non mi proclamo

 

E' ovviamente un bootleg.
Non riporta nemmeno il numero di catalogo. Ora io mi chiedo: a che pro rilasciare un bootleg del genere quando alla fine sono disponibili le versioni originali dei 2 dischi?

Here follows a letter written by Theo & Marjo Verdooren (presidents of the Worldwide Web Warriors) on behalf of all Manowar fans and will be read at Dan's memorial service held on Saturday, June 18 2005:

Dear Dan,

We cannot be present ourselves, but today our thoughts will be with your family & friends and we will send good thoughts from The Netherlands.

Through this letter, we want to tell you that from all over the world messages come in. For the people who attend this service, we would like to explain that we work for the band Manowar and that we take care of all "fan–based" activities. For 16 years, we have met and worked with Dan, on tour with Manowar.

Dan, the first word that comes in mind when thinking back of your work as head security for Manowar is: RESPECT. With deep respect we think of the way you did your job. Probably the hardest job in the Manowar crew. You, as no other, knew how to deal with the band and the fans. An impossible job at some points: a fan who wanted to meet his idol and a bandmember who needed rest and privacy. You knew how to handle with that, without hurting anybodies feelings. Never a big argument, never people getting out of control... a miracle when you realise that emotions were running through large numbers of fans that couldn’t always get what they wanted. You were the perfect guy for this job: calm, overseeing a situation, strict, friendly, a smile, a few words to a fan, ...deep respect. Since we have put online your memorial page on Manowar’s fansites, the e-mails and messages from fans are constantly coming in. It shows how much you were appreciated. It shows you have done a perfect job.

On behalf of all Manowar fans worldwide, we want to express to your family and friends today our deepest condolences. We wish them strength and courage.

On a personal note: Dan, we will miss you. The talks, the laughs... It will not be the same without you. We are sad now, but thinking of all those things that happened being on tour brings also a smile on our face and we know that you want that. It has been an honour to know you and thank you for everything.

Next to the condolences of the fans worldwide, we would like to give our personal condolences to your family and friends.

We would like to end with some words of a Manowar song, that directly came into my mind when thinking about you:
