Le liste di Dustx85 - approfondimento sul metal

Che è una bella mazzata sui denti, anche se al tempo si perse un po' nel marasma.
Della seconda fase di carriera è senza dubbio tra i migliori, assieme all'omonimo e a "Ballads Of A Hangman" (mi riferisco agli album più heavy e meno power, nello specifico).

 

Beh, come i Tea Party, i Porcupine Tree e i King Crimson, però i loro album ci sono.

 

Però Porcupine e king Crimson hanno avuto una forte influenza/rapporto sul metal hard rock.
I mad season sono più orientati sul blues rock o quel tipo di rock alla pearl jam (Mike McCready non per niente è della brigata) che di influenze metalliche ne ha poche..
Poi sono puntini vista. Non avrei inserito nemmeno AIC e Soundgarden che hanno più feeling metallico.

 

Una Mazzata con la M maiuscola oserei dire, un capolavoro di metallo pesante dal primo all'ultimo secondo. Che marasma intendi comunque?

E soprattutto, citi "Ballads.." ma non è che hai dimenticato "Tunes of War"?

 

Il marasma si riferiva alle notizie che monopolizzarono la scena metal quell'anno: Dickinson lasciò gli Iron Maiden, Kiske gli Helloween e Halford i Judas Priest. Praticamente uno tsunami per tutta la scena defender.
Il povero Criss Oliva morì in un incidente stradale.
Varg uccise Euronymous.
Successero un po' di cose, insomma, e monopolizzarono le notizie che correvano fra le pagine delle riviste.
Poi la musica era cambiata, persino Metal Shock dava spazio a gente che col metal non c'entrava nulla. Il ritorno di Grave Digger e Accept fu ovviamente notato, ma nel contesto - capirai - venne adombrato dall'insieme di quei fattori. "Tunes of war" invece fece il botto immediatamente, ricordo che i video di "Dark of the sun" e soprattutto "Rebellion" circolarono parecchio fin dall'inizio.

P.S.
"Tunes of war" non l'ho preso in considerazione per via di quello che, nell'altro messaggio, ho scritto in parentesi.
Al di là di ciò, c'è gente che quando si tratta di citare i tre album preferiti dei Grave Digger non prende in considerazione nessun lavoro della trilogia medievale. Ai gusti non si comanda.

Bene o male gli album che ho aggiunto hanno tutti uno status di una certa importanza nei loro generi,solo i Mork gryning forse sono un po' meno conosciuti ma per me hanno un riffing incredibile e quello,che e' il loro esordio,e' uno degli album che ascolto di più..poi volevo spendere due parole anche per l'esordio dei Dodheimsgard,prima che virassero verso l'avantgarde,genere per il quale e nel quale sono conosciuti,qui suonavano classico e per me Kronet til konge e' una perla ingiustamente dimenticata.
