iHEART RADIO THEATER N.Y.C. 2012

Blue Öyster Cult’s performance at iHeart Radio Theater in New York City took place on December 17, 2012 in an intimate setting for a lucky audience of 200 fans. This special show was arranged in celebration of the band’s 40th Anniversary and the release of a then new boxset, "The Columbia Albums Collection". Recorded by an army of cameramen for a special webcast, the performance is now being commercially released on CD/DVD, Blu-Ray, and Vinyl.

BÖC’s original core duo of vocalist and lead guitarist Donald “Buck Dharma” Roeser and vocalist and rhythm guitarist Eric Bloom are joined by Richie Castellano on guitar and keyboards and the rhythm section of bassist Kasim Sulton and drummer Jules Radino.

CURSE OF THE HIDDEN MIRROR

"Curse of the Hidden Mirror" is the 14th studio album by Blue Öyster Cult, originally released in 2001 on Sanctuary Records. The album has been out of print for quite some time and this will also be the first time it is officially available on vinyl.

On their first album of the the new millennium, BÖC proved that they're still smart enough to play to their strengths, wearing their ‘70s classic rock standing as a badge of honor.

The band took the album title from a song on the unreleased album by the Stalk-Forrest Group, the band that would eventually become Blue Öyster Cult, recorded in 1970. John Shirley, an author of cyberpunk science fiction, wrote the lyrics for many songs of the album. Musically, the album offers a style which could be described as “classic" Blue Öyster Cult.

The album showcases the band's familiar charms with understated clarity.

Ottimo! Peccato per la scaletta del live simile a Cleveland 2014, con solo l'ottima RU ready to rock a differenziarli ma comunque ben venga, l'atmosfera mi sembra quella giusta, dal clip postato. Spero sempre che prima o poi in questi live spunti anche Veteran of the psychic wars, visto che talvolta la ripropongono. Peccato anche che non si risolva questa bega di ETI presente solo in audio anche qui!

 

infatti è quello che stavo pensando anche io, potevano spaziare un po di piu con la scaletta, oltre veteran anche flaming telepaths manca da un po o magari qualche altra chicca in più non avrebbe guastato, ottima invece la copertina
