Capisco cosa vuoi dire, Heathenreel mi piacerebbe moltissimo se non fosse per il cantante. Però recentemente ho ascoltato l'ultimo e l'ho trovato parecchio migliorato, prima o poi dovrei ascoltare anche The Pagan Manifesto.

 

Io sto riscoprendo tutta la discografia, e i miglioramenti alla voce sono costanti in tutto l'arco della carriera.

Sempre considerando da dove si partiva, per cui nessun miracolo.

 

La voce di Damna è sempre particolare... io lo apprezzo un sacco, contribuisce all'unicità della band. Comunque secondo me gli album in cui rende di più sono:
Heathenreel. Magari sono di parte (mio album preferito di sempre), ma adoro la spontaneità del cantato, si sente la passione, sembra tutto più vero. Chissà, magari con un cantato più "perfetto" mi sarebbe piaciuto di meno.
The Scythe. In un album così pesante ma allo stesso tempo melodico, un cantato sporco e allo stesso tempo melodico è la ciliegina sulla torta.
Red Silent Tides. L'approccio più rock che stava sviluppando in quel periodo sarebbe fuori luogo in alcuni album, ma non in questo, appunto il più rockeggiante.
Secrets Of The Magick Grimoire. Qui è proprio l'esperienza che si sente, interpretazioni sempre azzeccate a seconda del tipo di canzone di cui si sta parlando.

 

Io li conosco (e seguo) da poco ma concordo con questo commento. Mi piacciono le sonorità, i testi, etc...ma la voce è unica e mi piace proprio per le sue caratteristiche.

 

Tour europeo da headliner il prossimo aprile:

 

Elvenking has signed a new multi-album record deal which is good news for both the artist and the label. The Italian band has had a relationship with AFM Records dating back to 2000. Now, after such a long period, the artist re-newed the contract for a successive third time, joining artists including Evergrey, Danko Jones, Gus G., Brothers Of Metal, U.D.O. or Danzig on AFM's roster.

While celebrating this event with a special award for more than 80,000 albums sold, the band is already in rehearsal sessions for a follow-up album of their 2017 output "Secrets of the Magick Grimoire".

Aydan and Damna state: "We are very happy to celebrate our 18th year at AFM Records with a brand new multi-album contract! We had different options and offers on the table, but when AFM came up with their new deal and the will to work with us and yet give us an even greater support, we couldn't ask for more. A dedicated and trustful team that is with us since we were kids - that helped us start and create what is the band nowadays - couldn't be more entitled in this new important phase of our career. We are now more focused than ever and we, together with AFM, are ready to unleash the best and strongest version of Elvenking. We are working on a new album which will be part of a wider idea we are currently developing day by day. We have previously never done something like this and we are damn sure the new songs will excite you as they are exciting us. Cheers to another 18 years of METAL!!!"

 

Speravo in un contratto con la Nuke per fargli fare il botto, perché se lo meriterebbero.

 

Nuclear Blast meglio di no, sarebbero obbligati a fare dei tour senza gran scelta tempistica o dei gruppi di supporto.

 

Bisognerebbe chiederlo a loro se è meglio o no.

 

* NEW ALBUM FIRST DETAILS ANNOUNCED*

After having signed a new multi-album deal with AFM Records Elvenking are ready to enter the studios for the recording of their new highly anticipated album.
On January 3rd the band will fly to Germany to enter Gernhart Studio in Troisdorf (where The Scythe and Wyrd albums had their genesis) to begin drums recordings of the successor to “Secrets of the Magick Grimoire”, released in 2017.
The recording of the album will continue for some months in different locations, between Germany and Italy, and the mix will be handled by legendary producer Dan Swano(Dissection, Insomnium, Rage, Opeth …) at Unisound AB in Sweden. The album will be mastered at Fascination Street Studios, Sweden.
Expect a second half of 2019 release.

So this is the answer to our riddle. There was a rune hidden in every profile image we posted in the last days. Hope you had fun playing, but most of all we hope you will enjoy the cover artwork made by artist Zsofia Dankova.
For now the runes have been cast but in the next days we will talk more about the album...there are still secrets to be revealed...
