Age of contest - Il sondaggio sul miglior brano heavy metal

Secondo me sono band borderline e mi sono sentito in diritto di includerle in virtù della regola "per sezioni", quell'heavy/power teutonico molto roccioso e classico non mi sembra fuori luogo qua dentro (così come non lo è quello americano dei Riot periodo Moore o dei Liege Lord imho). Mica ho messo gli Stratovarius

 

Io trovo solo un po' assurdo che in un contest sull'heavy classico sia accettata una Lionheart o una Riding The Storm (quest'ultima è una delle canzoni prototipo del Power Metal) e non una Queen Of The Reich.

 

No ma come "band" ci stanno assolutamente, il dubbio è sulle canzoni scelte... cioè sono band heavy power che hanno sia pezzi heavy che pezzi power, per questo mi stavo chiedendo se fosse il caso di mettere nella mia lista pezzi power come "william wallace", "riding the storm", "the dragon lies bleeding", "warp 7"... persino "fast as a shark" è un pezzo power (il primo?)...

Mi fa piacere che qualcun altro ascolti gli Incubus..io tra l'altro ho un altro pezzo loro in lista. Occhio che hai messo lo stesso pezzo dei Glory Bells Band due volte.

 

Nulla in contrario, anche a me secca tener fuori i Candlemass perché stanno in una sezione diversa. Ma dal punto di vista di chi sta organizzando il contest, è molto più assurdo dover fronteggiare 100 possibili eccezioni invece di fissare 1 regola comune.

Per me Brocas Helm e Axehammer sono entrambi Epic, mentre gli Stormwitch li metterei nell'heavy generico.

 

Ride coprofila.
Sì per Brocas Helm (già votati da Jaime e Peste, tra l'altro) e Axehammer (intenditrice!), che hanno un vecchio topic nella sezione Heavy.
Gli Stormwitch ne hanno due, uno in power e l'altro in heavy. Siccome conosco bene la band e il power lo sento solo a sprazzi nella discografia del gruppo, do senza problemi il nullaosta per votarli.
