Ce ne sono molte di canzoni con testi bellissimi..... e son tante anche quelle a cui son affezzionato...... ora però me ne vengono in mente due che riflettono parecchio il mio pensiero di adesso:

EPITAPH dei King Krimson

 

Fra i miei preferiti ci sono quelli dei Cynic dell'album-capolavoro Focus,mi ci rivedo molto.Questo è davvero stupendo:

Anche My Arms,Your Hearse degli Opeth ha lyrics fantastiche,così come bellissimi sono molti testi dei Dream Theater (soprattutto Sorrounded,The Glass Prison,Voices,...)

 

Una volta poi mi piacevano moltissimo i testi di In The Nightside Eclipse degli Emperor,ma ora non ascolto quasi più black (a parte i Borknagar),per via delle tematiche trattate.Non è come nel death,dove uno può tranquillamente fregarsene dei testi e godersi la musica (coi Cryptopsy faccio così,tanto è impossibile capire UNA parola!E per fortuna,visto che ho dato un'occhiata di sfuggita alle lyrics una volta e ho preso spavento!).Il black è un genere + emotivo,bisogna lasciarsi coinvolgere... ma non si possono servire bene due padroni. Ad un certo punto uno deve scegliere da che parte stare.

Cmq,faccio notare a tutti gli incredibili testi dei My Dying Bride,raffinati e profondi.Questo è uno dei miei preferiti;io lo intendo come un'allegoria dell'ingannevole seduzione del potere (qui rappresentato dall'inverno),che promette di elevare ad un livello di vita superiore ma in realtà sfrutta gli individui per i suoi assurdamente freddi e vuoti scopi.
Sono curoso di sentire altre interpretazioni a riguardo...

una in particolare non saprei. Credo però fermamente che in generale le migliori liriche di sempre, come media emozionale, siano quelle di Savatage (nel metal) e direi Thin Lizzy (nell' hard)

 

Ce ne sono parecchie....in ambito non Metal non posso non citare i Doors,in particolar modo quel capolavoro che è When the music overs.
In ambito Metal direi: Pantera-Walk,Regular People,Suicide note e Yesterday don't mean shit;Opeth-The night and the silent water,Black rose immortal,My arms,your hearse (una delle storie più emozionanti che abbia mai letto),In my time of need;Symphony X-A fool's Paradise;Dark Tranquillity-Egodrama,Lethe;At the gates-Cold...queste sono quelle che ricordo meglio,ma ce ne sono molte altre che mi piacciono a livello di lyrics.
Se poi devo scegliere le canzoni in cui mi ci rispecchio meglio,ne sceglierei due:Walk dei Pantera e Cold degli At the gates

 

Beh ci sono dei bellissimi testi in cui non mi riconosco ma che vorrei citare:

Aerosmith - I don't wanna miss a thing
Stadio - In paradiso con te (la più bella canzone d'amore che abbia mai sentito)

In ambito più prettamente metallaro:
Dream Theater - Pull me Under

Una canzone che invece non mi piace molto ma in cui, mio malgrado mi sono riconosciuto è:
Linkin Park - In the End.
