Autopsy

Ritengo Macabre Eternal un disco superlativo, sarà il cuore che comanda, ma le emozioni che mi danno loro sono uniche. Suono fantastico, pezzi strabilianti, psichedelia death metal col culmine nella suite Sadistic Gratification. Troppo lungo? Può darsi, ma non mi stanco mai di ascoltarli! Ottimi i soli, ottimo il growl di Reifert, marcissimo il growl di Cutler, perfetto il personalissimo drumming di Reifert... boh, nient'altro da dire, fantastico!

Autopsy "All Tomorrow's Funerals"[/h]

One of the early breed of US death metal acts, Autopsy formed in 1987 in San Francisco, & released 4 albums on Peaceville Records - beginning with the classic debut 'Severed Survival' in 1989 - before disbanding in 1995, with members going on to form Abscess. Autopsy triumphantly & officially returned from the grave after a 15 year hiatus with the 2010 EP, 'The Tomb Within' delighting critics & fans alike, followed by 'Macabre Eternal', the long-awaited & rabidly received fifth album in 2011, with the original trio of Chris Reifert, Danny Coralles & Eric Cutler joined by Joe Trevisano of Abscess/Von fame on bass.

‘All Tomorrow’s Funerals’, is the latest chapter in the history of the death metal legends. This monstrous release contains new studio tracks recorded late 2011 - including a re-recorded version of classic oldie 'Mauled to Death' - plus all of Autopsy's past EP's & rarities which have been specially remastered by the band themselves, totalling 22 tracks all together, resulting in over 73 minutes of sickness. Everything from 'Retribution For The Dead' & 'Fiend for Blood', to the now sold-out 'The Tomb Within' is present, including liner notes from the band and new cover art from renowned artist Matt Cavotta (also responsible for the 'The Tomb Within' cover).

Autopsy notably features legendary drummer Chris Reifert, who began his recording career with US metal greats, Death, before taking on the unusual duty of handling drums & vocals for Autopsy. Autopsy has influenced a whole generation of extreme metal bands, from Entombed & Dismember to Darkthrone & is among the biggest & most respected names in the genre's history.

Quando esce?

EDIT: come non detto, esce il 20 Febbraio, appena preordinato a 10£ su Amazon.

 

Comuque il mondo gira al contrario...un gruppo così (... [non ha bisogno di aggettivi nè presentazioni nè descrizioni]) come gli Autopsy che in 6 anni di topic conta solamente 6 pagine, e non per dire gruppi molto meno meritevoli sotto tutti i criteri possibili ed immaginabili che hanno pagine su pagine di chiacchiere...bah. Cult of Reifert will never die!

 

E perchè ti meravigli Necro?
Non lo sai che tirano molto di più Children Of Bodom, Opeth, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Obscura e compagnia melodic/core/techno/math etc etc...
Ovviamente qualcuno se ne risentirà e proclamerà "ma non vorrai mica mettere la merda con la nutella"?
Meglio mangiare quintali di merda (Autopsy) che un solo cucchiaino di nutella (un gruppo a caso di quelli testè citati).

Quella raccolta e' parecchio interessante. Devo ancora prendere l'edizione limitata dell'ultimo album, l'ho vista a 10 euro nel negozietto di fiducia... passero' a fine febbraio e vedo se ci trovo anche questa.

Fiend ce l'ho in vinile, a me manca Retribution For The Dead ... mi mangerò a vita le mani per non averlo preso dal mio negozio di vinili di fiducia quando uscì

Il vinile di retribuition ce l'aveva mio fratello, comprato ai tempi, ma l'ha venduto molti anni fa

 

Arrivato all tomorrows funeral...niente da dire, disco ineccepibile e una bellissima confezione e booklet ma...non entra nei porta cd! Che fastidio
