Edguy

Grandissimo concerto, Tobi era veramente in forma. Peccato per l'acustica del locale che, come sempre, non è il massimo e "nasconde" un po' il suono delle chitarre. Sapevo che avrebbero suonato Babylon anche se non era in programma, ma non mi sarei mai aspettato il pezzettino di Hallowed Be Thy Name (non l'hanno mai suonato prima). The Trooper invece lo includevano spesso alla fine di Babylon. Per chi non c'era:

E' stato il mio primo concerto e l'ho amato dall'inizio alla fine ♥ sono anche riuscita a prendere il plettro di Dirk (beccandomi una gomitata in testa, ma cosa non si rischia per un plettro XDD)

 

vista la scaletta non venire è stata un.ottima scelta

 

Non posso che dirti: NON SAI COSA TI SEI PERSO!! Il mio primo concerto è stata una cosa indimenticabile!! cocnordo con tutti voi sul fatto che un Tobi cosi in forma vocalmente non me lo sarei mai aspettato! Mi sono piaciuti molto anche i Kottak (non al punto di ascoltarli in cd, ma live hanno fatto un bel po di casino!)piu che altro per James che è fuori di testa, ma dal primo momento in cui sono entrati gli Edguy, non ho fatto altro che ridere e sgolarmi cantando con tutto il calorosissimo pubblico, cercando di evitare il pogo che si era formato in centro e che mi rompeva un pò le balle...poi il fatto di essere a meno di 5 metri da Tobi era il massimo!
E' stato bellissimo il fatto che abbiano fatto Babylon con tutto il pubblico che la invocava, uncia nota negativa è che hanno sostituito un capolavoro che ero pronto a cantare con lui, come Land of the miracle..
Altre 2 cose fantastiche sono state sicuramente Hallowed Be Thy name, il fatto che sia lui che Kottak hanno nominato R.J.Dio e sopratutto quando Tobi ha inserito in un ritornello di babylon(chi ricorda se era questa?) un parte del ritornello di Egle Fly Free..li mi stavo commuovendo, è stato il massimo!
Voto altissimo per un cocnerto indimenticabile per noi che c'eravamo e anche per loro, che penso si siano divertiti un mondo! E chiudo dicendo che dopo ieri, ho valutato in modo molto più positivo il loro ultimo cd, finendo per innamorarmene! le canzoni live sono una bomba, sopratutto la fantastica Rock of Cashel!!

 

concordo... veramente fantastico! Io ero abbastanza in alto da vederlo tranquillamente, evitando infatti il casino. Mi sarebbe piaciuto poterlo "vivere" da vicino, solo per tentare di toccare Tobi o Jens... pazienza. In compenso la visuale era fantastica!
Anche i Kottak, tutto sommato dal vivo fanno veramente scena. Ribadisco che è stato bellissimo.
Peccato anche per Land of the miracle... ma Babylon è stata fantastica, e tutta per noi!

 

hanno messo babylon però hanno tolto land of the miracle. Potevano farla invece del medley dei maiden. Cmq sicuramente sarà stato un bel concerto. Spero di vedermeli in qualche festival estivo

 

la sola vain glory opera è valso il biglietto per me.. unica chicca in più rispetto a 2 anni fa. L'ultimo album proprio non mi piace.. manco live.. fatta eccezione per nobody's hero che son stato ben felice di vederla aprire il concerto anche se dopo "Welcome to the freak show" uno si aspetta QUELLA canzone...... che manca da troppo tempo..

 

Sono ancora nel periodo post-concerto e, dopo aver trovato alcuni video su you tube che mi fanno ricordare quei splendidi momenti, ho trovato questo diario della band, per chi non è iscritto al sito Edguy.net ve li posto qua..è molto divertente leggere queste cose, e si capisce come anche fuori dal palco gli Edguy sono pazzi e si divertono un mondo!! Quanto darei per vedere cosa fanno nel bus assieme ai Kottak!!
Comunque penso di aver capito chi continua a fare gli scherzi nel tourbus :grin:

October 12th:

Hey there,

I'd like to begin the today's diary with the same single word as in the opening from Star Wars - Episode 3.

WAR!

There's just war! There's a war inside the Edguy tourbus and no one can stop it. Someone has put crackers into Felix' pillow, another one was hiding a big pineapple in Francis' (drummer of Kottak) pillow. I've just found a bunch of vegetable in all my shoes, even in my stage shoes, and finally I just put a Bratwurst into Achim's (our sound engineer) pillow. It's really getting out of control, but in this kind of war, there is only laughter at the end of the day, or better said - the next morning. Every war should be like this, don't you think?!

Tonight I am going to prepare a "bed of roses" for Achim. And of course the roses will have big thorns, hihi! So, if you read this you might know more and be better informed than Achim and the rest of the crew, but please don't tell them! :-)

October 8th:

Dear friends, Edgirls & Edguys,

Welcome to the freakshow!

Finally we’re on the road and it’s great to live on the bus again (ok, let’s say most of the time :-)). It’s so nice to hear the bus engine all night long, while we try to get some sleep on the road. As you know we’ve been forced to cancel three shows due to Tobi’s virus infection, and believe me, this is hell on earth when you get these bad news in the early morning that there will be no show the same evening. I try to imagine how bad Tobi must have felt, when he had to make this hard decision! We gave our very best to spread the bad news as soon as possible and hoped that not too many people just had to face closed doors in Essen, Fulda and Bamberg. I am really no internet junkie at all, but in this case I love Facebook, hahaha!!! Tobi has recovered and he sings like a god again. I always enjoy watching the magic Hellhound rising while we play Superheroes, it’s such a special moment!!! When we are not on stage playing a concert, we love to tease our sound engineer Achim whenever and wherever we can. Last night we “surprised” him when he was already sleeping and jumped into his bed, as far as one can say “jump” inside those little bunks - moreover five people at the same time... I heard that the night before, someone put some cornflakes into his pillow… A few hours later I found a banana in my own pillow. Hmmm, who commited all these crimes??? Maybe we'll find out during the next couple of days. I’ll keep you informed!

Qualcuno ha per caso dei video del concerto del 10 ottobre di Milano? Ho trovato molti video sul tubo, ma non cè Behind The gates.., Ministry (completa), Rock of cashel epandora's box e vorrei rivederli!

 

...in quest'ultimo periodo mi sto appassionando sempre di piu' a questa grandiosa band, piu' la ascolto piu' mi piace, all'inizio mi spiazzavano un po' specialmente il vibrato particolare di Tobias, adesso impazzisco per loro!

 

All'inizio il suo timbro particolare penso abbia spiazzato tutti..cosi come la sua pronuncia comunque approfondiscili e vedrai che band!

 

Si e' vero della pronuncia, specialmente dal vivo, approfondiro' certamente! Per ora tutto quello che ho ascoltato mi e' piaciuto! Gli album "Rocket Ride" e "Tinnitus Sanctus" su tutti!

 

vabbe l'ultimo periodo è quello che strizza di più al rock melodico, infatti io adoro questa svolta ,come degli avantasia ritengo scarecrow il miglore di tutti ,anche se più o meno anche li son tutti validi, ma comunque anche quando facevano power gli edguy erano grandi e dischi come vain glory opera e theater of salvation ne sono la dimostrazione, ma comunque uno brutto non ne hanno mai fatto, la qualità è sempre stata sopra la media, ed è uno dei pochi gruppi power che mi piacciono.
