Secondo quanto annunciato da Tracii Guns, il posto di Jizzy Pearl al microfono degli L.A. GUNS potrebbe essere preso dalla cantante Dilana. Lo stesso Tracii ha dichiarato che “se Dilana dovesse diventare la nuova cantante della band, sarebbe per via della sua capacità di cantare i pezzi degli L.A. GUNS. Non mi interesserebbe se si trattasse di una donna, a me piacciono le novità”.

 

Devo essere sincero, questo è un gruppo che a mio malgrado ho sottovalutato TANTISSIMO e che sto riscoprendo solo ora.. ho trovato in offerta per pochi euro "Vicious Circle" e non ascolto altro da giorni.. "Crystal Eyes" è commovente

 

...molto molto meglio la versione in Hollywood Vampires pero'....

 

Tracii Guns ha confermato che DILANA sarà la nuova cantante dei suoi L.A. Guns.

Guns has issued the following statement:

"Dilana is the new singer for L.A. Guns after an incredible amount of scrutiny and mixed opinions the final straw was her audition, where she completely took control of the environment by injecting a type of soul into these old new songs that I have never heard before. The first tune we jammed on was the Otis Redding classic 'These Arms Of Mine', and even a very skeptical Jeremy looked up at me and mouthed 'Holy Shit' to me and I had the same feeling. Then we ran through 'One More Reason', 'Never Enough', and of course 'The Ballad Of Jayne', and it was an awakening of just how professional and soulful of a singer Dilana is. After getting responses from the label, my agent and manager - who are all really into a drastic positive change for L.A. Guns and myself - we all feel this is a ballsy and risky change that we all collectively feel good about. I expect there will be some changes in the live setlist and I hope we can get straight into writing mode ASAP and record some fresh rock n' roll, also ASAP.

ho un solo rammarico, averlo visto nei suoi Guns N' Roses fare a testate e a seggiolate con Axl:grin: sono sarebbero mai andati d'accordo ma sarebbe stato uno spasso, peccato

 

Vicious Circle è un gran disco, l'ho molto rivalutato rispetto ai tempi del mio commento postato. Molto vario e con parecchie perle.

Tracii Guns: Dilana really has her own style. She's very bluesy, upper mid-register, and when she hits those high notes, it sounds clear as a bell. Women just have a different set of vocal cords. A lot of L.A. GUNS stuff is sung in that register, anyway. You hear guys singing in L.A. GUNS and it sounds like they're straining, and the really cool thing with Dilana is that those higher registers are really clean. But the thing is that we're doing a rock set — we're not doing an acoustic set, and there was no intention to do an acoustic set unless for some strange reason the record went through the roof. But we're on the verge of some really great things, so for us to do an acoustic thing live… maybe down the road, it's not out of the question, but for now, we're sticking to the rock set and we're probably going to be adding some songs that we haven't played live in years, because she can sing some of these songs that other people couldn't. We just got started. We had our audition process yesterday and she got the gig, so we've got a solid three weeks of banging our heads together to get the set together. It's pretty exciting having a chick in L.A. GUNS. I can't wait to see the look on people's faces with a girl singing "Sex Action".

Dilana dopo neanche 2 mesi lascia già gli L.A. Guns.

The Tracii Guns + Dilana partnership lasted just over two months. It's amazing to me, but it seems Dilana is out as singer of LA Guns. She posted on her Facebook that the rest of the LA Guns tour was canceled... then Tracii started posting about saving the dates and then later he mentioned having Tony West of Blacklist Union singing for the band.

Gli L.A. Guns “versione” Phil Lewis hanno appena annunciato di aver siglato un accordo con la Cleopatra Records per l’uscita del loro prossimo album.

Il gruppo è attualmente nella fase di pre-produzione del disco e spera di iniziare a registrare agli inizi di Febbraio con il produttore Andy Johns (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Van Halen).

L’uscita del CD e della versione in vinile è prevista per quest’estate, insieme alle bonus track che saranno disponibili sono su iTunes. Al disco seguirà un World Tour dalla durata di ben 9 mesi.

 

Gli L.A. Guns di Traci Guns saranno in europa a Marzo per il tour d'addio, l'italia è presente con ben quattro date. Apriranno i concerti dell'intero tour gli svedesi Dirty Passion, eccovi le date italiane:
