Per la serie "trova l'intruso"...?

Comunque, a parte gli scherzi, la tracklist è quella classica di ogni loro best. Non mi sarei mai aspettato una scelta del genere da parte di Joe Satriani: bravo!

 

Sentivamo proprio il bisogno di un'altra raccolta! :ehm:

si onestamente di una nuova compilation non so che farmene....praticamente abbiamo perso il conto delle compilation targate Judas Priest...
ps: io aspetto comunque con ansia il cofanetto dei singoli !!

Riguardo l'album in studio non si conosce ancora il titolo e altro... Solo che hanno gia pronti 12/14 pezzi e uscirà nel 2012, ma ancora nessuna notizia ufficiale sulla data di pubblicazione.
Rob Halford ha dichiarato che sarà un classico alla Judas Priest!

 

Abbastanza sorprendenti le scelte di Slash e Satriani,mentre da Lemmy non potevo che aspettarmi quella scelta

 

Meraviglioso. L'Halford del 1991 in 35 minuti di intervista inedita.

Il nuovo look, Painkiller, Turbo, l’età che avanza, il rinnovamento costante, il nuovo acquisto Scott Travis, i riferimenti al “prossimo album” (), il processo negli States, la competizione con “i nuovi thrasher”, lo stile di vita, la filosofia del dolore e qualche perla di saggezza estemporanea.

Trascrivo alcune parti:

Anticipazione (Spoiler)

[Il taglio di capelli radicale:] “That’s just part of my constant desire to be different, not to be repetitious… that’s with the music as well as the look, image… now I’m more hardcore, this is my hardcore metal ways(?) and the one I’m most confortable with as well.”

[Turbo:] “Again, coming back to this feeling of not wanting to be repeating yourself over and over again with the clothes, with the music that you play, trying to have something new to say over time... we were just trying, like we have always done, to show people that heavy metal isn't just one dimension… we're all of these different bands, you know.”

[I testi:] “If I had my way my lyrics would be a lot more intense than they are now, but, you know, Judas Priest is a democracy and sometimes Ken or Glenn might not like my lyrics, you know, so we have to change them.” Cioè lo censurano. Non mi sorprende affatto.

[L’assenza di ballad in Painkiller:] “We were gonna put a ballad on this, on the Painkiller album, but really wasn’t any space for, so the nearest thing we got was A Touch of Evil, which really isn’t a real ballad as people expect, you know… it was a really intense back beat of a solid heavy metal riff. Yeah, I mean, we did have a song, we may use it on the next record possibly, it's a good song, a really good ballad [suppongo si riferisca a Living Bad Dreams]. But we wanted to make this record very strong and very powerful with no space for slow, kind of cigarette-lighters and mirror balls, you know, we didn't wanna do that.”

[Frecciatona gratuita:] “Commercial success to me is Guns N' Roses… commercial success to me is Iron Maiden. That's not Judas Priest. We’re an album orientated band.”

[Parlando di sé:] “…me, who lives, breathes, drinks, sleeps, eats heavy metal music, you know…”

“When I'm 80?! I'll probably be terrorising people in my electric wheelchair covered in leather and studs down the high street… I think I'll be a headbanger when I'm 80 as much as I was a headbanger when I was 18, you know, it's part of my life. It'll always be important to me.”

“I used to go to my local S&M shop in London. You know, I've always been a bit of a sado-masochist. I like pain, that's why I've got all these tattoos now. I'm always looking for new areas of pain and darkness…”

[La psicologia del dolore:] “...when you’re having tattoo work… it’s self-inflicted pain, you desire the pain, and when you’re going through it it’s the most incredible mind trip, really sensational, it’s better than drugs or better than booze, you know. For me, it’s the ultimate fisical experience, apart from sex…The pain is on and off, and on, and off, it’s an electric switch…”

[Il processo di Reno:] “We were very glad to be able to defend the heavy metal faith in America, which is supposed to be the ‘great free democracy’ of the world and it’s not.” Lo amo.
