OUT IN EUROPE MAY 11TH

Indie Recordings is proud to present the signing of Nattefrost (Nattefrost, Carpathian Forest) and Fenriz’ Red Planet (Darkthrone) for the release of the split album “ENGANGSGRILL”.
These two legendary musicians team up for a rock..n roll experience, exploring the borderline between black metal, stoner and classic rock.
Fenriz is best known as the drummer and lyricist of the mighty Darkthrone, and together with Nocturno Culto they’ve been a driving force in the global metal underground for over 20 years!
As well as releasing albums with Darkthrone, Fenriz has performed solo and been involved with a number of bands spanning a variety of musical genres the last years.
For the ENGANGSGRILL album Fenriz contributes with 3 tracks “Side Nebulah”.

Nattefrost is one of the most recognisable and longest serving figures on the Black Metal scene, Nattefrost has never shied away from controversy - but at the same time he has never sacrificed quality for mere sensationalism.
With “Engangsgrill” he is able to show yet another facet of his musical skills, merging unexpected genres and adding his own, unique stamp.
You would never have been able to predict “Engangsgrill”, and yet, here it is, because, after all, if there is anything at all predictable about Nattefrost, it’s his ability to surprise.

The “Engangsgrill” split release contains all together 8 tracks from these iconic figures. The album is available on CD and 180G LP

Adesso che ho letto quello che ha scritto Filo mi è tutto più chiaro, il fatto che Fenriz potesse avere ripreso in mano gli Isengard sembrava anche a me molto strano. In ogni caso speriamo bene, Fenriz nei side Project è sempre andato bene.

grandiosi. ogni cosa che fa fenriz mi piace. top gli isengard, dal primo demo black death fino al full e al best dei demo vinterskugge.

Riporto su questo topic perché in questi giorni in macchina sto riascoltando Vinterskugge.

Qualcuno sa consigliarmi band che facciano musica simile alla title track? Quindi clean vocals epiche, ritmi cadenzati e accenni di tastiere? Non ho mai approfondito il genere e sarei curioso di ampliare i miei ascolti.

P.s.: ma quanto spacca "Storm of evil"? Sembra un pezzo deathrock marcissimo.

Ah,solo i primi due album ovvero till fjalls e odemarkens son,poi cambia rotta..

 

Grazie mille, la prima canzone postata corrisponde proprio al sound che cercavo (mentre le altre due hanno una componente black molto marcata). Se conosci altri gruppi così non esitare a postare

Secondo e terzo album(...Magni Blandinn Ok Megintiri...e Ok Nefna Tysvar Ty)sono uno splendore..da quel che leggo anche l'esordio e' un capolavoro ma devo ancora ascoltarlo.
Per il resto non saprei cosa consigliarti,anch'io conosco poco il genere e tendo a preferire gruppi con componente black piu marcata come hai detto tutipo Kampfar,Moonsorrow..

Isengard initially started in 1989 by Fenriz - one the key driving forces behind Norwegian legends Darkthrone. Under the Isengard moniker, Fenriz released 2 albums encapsulating doom, death, black & Folk/Viking metal in the shape of 'Vinterskugge' & 'Høstmørke', & finally we welcome the third addition to this cult project. This new series of tracks - which were thought to be lost - Everything performed and engineered by Fenriz himself all recorded between 1989 & 1993 using the infamous Necrohell Studios. Lo ascolterò ma forse avrei preferito tenermi il ricordo di quei tempi, dove tutto quello che proveniva dal suolo norvegese sembrava avvolto nel mistero...
