Ragazzi, ma nessuno ha citato i Pressure Points? Una band progressive death con varie influenze che ricorda, come sound, gli Opeth. Il loro debut album è uscito ad inizio 2010 ed è davvero una bomba. Meritano di essere seguiti...

Gli annunci pubblicitari di Google per una volta hanno dato un risultato attinente al posto di giardinaggio, banche, ecc.
Ecco a voi una band greca interessantissima, gli Echidna (da non confondere con gli altri gruppi omonimi).

E rilancio con i loro compagnucci altrettanto ellenici (infatti qualcuno di loro è in entrambi i gruppi)... meno schizzati e più atmosferici...

Ho dato qualche ascolto all'EP dei Beneath the Massacre e l'ho trovato ottimo, come già il vecchio Evidence of Inequality: penso che l'EP sia il formato giusto per questo gruppo che come evidenzia il recensore non ha personalità, ma a mio parere possiede una padronanza orgasmatica del fluire sonoro (soprattutto senza i troppi breakdown degli altri lavori).
Segnalo inoltre che Desgagnés è un orso, in concerto ha un'energia pazzesca

Swedish technical death metallers SPAWN OF POSSESSION have parted ways with vocalist Matthew Chalk (PSYCROPTIC) and have been rejoined by Dennis Röndum.

Commented the band: "Yes, Dennis is back in the band, where he belongs.

"We would like to thank Chalky for the time he was a part of the band, He helped us bring SPAWN OF POSSESSION back to life for a moment and without him we could not have done the Australian tour. So we are thankful for everything he did for us and wish him the best of luck."

Added Dennis: "I've been quite disconnected from the band for a long time now so when [Jonas] Bryssling [guitar] got in touch with me, it felt kind of surreal. But nonetheless amazing when he started to describe his visions for the next SPAWN OF POSSESSION record and that he wanted me to handle the vocals for it. Now, mind you, it's been over four years of silence between us and we parted on a somewhat bad note, but that's in the past. The focus is now on the new material, which Bryssling has invited me to get involved with and after listening to the temp tracks, all I can say is that I'm in for a serious ride.

"Although my presence has been lacking in the scene I've been busy writing and recording with my new band. It's still all under wraps but hopefully I'll be able to share it with you in a not-too-distant future. With that said, I'm really excited to be back in the SPAWN OF POSSESSION camp and I can't wait to join the others to complete what I believe will be a masterpiece of unparalleled proportions."

Regarding the progress of the songwriting sessions for SPAWN OF POSSESSION's next album, Bryssling states, "We have too many songs, and some of them are a tad bit long, 7-10 minutes each. So we have decided to cut down the amount of tracks from twelve songs to ten. We are now finishing up the last songs, polishing the arrangements and practicing the material."

 

penso che te li devi far vendere da qualcuno che li possiede, i negozi non li distribuiscono più. Quello che ho io un mio amico l'ha trovato su ebay.

 

Sarei stato curioso di sentire Chalk alla voce ma Rondum mi piace cmq molto...a rileggerla è proprio una formazione straordinaria! Sicuramente uno dei dischi in uscita che mi stuzzicano di più.

nuovo obscura a inizio 2011 (copio ed incollo da blabbermouth.net):

Progressive death metal act OBSCURA has set "Omnivium" as the title of its new album, due in early 2011 via Relapse Records. The nine-track CD was recorded and is now being mixed at Woodshed Studio in southern Germany with engineer V. Santura (TRIPTYKON, DARK FORTRESS).

Commented OBSCURA founder Steffen Kummerer: "Although we recorded again with our longtime friend and producer V. Santura in the Woodshed Studios, the studio sessions were hard work and lots of sweat. It was for the best, though, since 'Omnivium' is definitely the next step for this band.

"Christian [Muenzer; guitar] recorded some outstanding solos with a new eight-finger tapping technique, Jeroen [Paul Thesseling; bass] brought his own stamp of fretless tone into the mix again, and Hannes [Grossmann; drums] recorded his heaviest session to date and broke through the 260-bpm line. Everyone brought lots of great ideas to the table and made 'Omnivium' a truly collaborative band effort.

"'Omnivium' sounds solely like OBSCURA, and brings us a step closer to reaching our unique vision of progressive death metal."
