Sabato o domenica (forse) incontreremo Denander..
Mi ha già anticipato che il nuovo Frederiksen /Denander sarà 100 volte più bello del primo..
se avro' qualche succosa news ve la sparero' in anteprima...
P.S. sono molto ansioso di sentire anch'io il nuovo Mecca.:P

 

Gia' si parla del secondoalbum?'..Ke x caso lavori alla frontiers lifeson??..io ogni tanto sono in contatto con loro..

 

No Marco76, non lavoro alla Frontiers.
Ho la fortuna di conoscere Denander.
So solo che mi ha detto che il materiale a disposizione per un futuro album con Fergie sarà una bomba..altro (purtroppo) non so.

 

Bobby Kimball cantera' come seconda voce nel nuovo attesissimo e pluririmandato secondo album dei Mecca che dovrebbe(ormai il condizionale e' d'obbiglo) uscire entro la fine dell'anno....

 

Veramente s'era detto che Kimball avrebbe diviso le vocals con Vana sin dal primo annuncio 4 o 5 anni or sono... S'era anche letto che Sullivan dei Survivor avrebbe prodotto, che Lukather avrebbe fatto le chitarre, poi Denander, poi quello dei Mr Mister etc. etc.

Come dicono ad Oxford "I'll believe when I see it"!

 

MECCA ADDS BOBBY KIMBALL - OFFICIALLY!:
I know a lot of folks out there are eagerly anticipating the new Mecca album Catharsis, due for release....er....sometime soon! Their appearance at MelodicRockFest 2 was inspirational in making the final push to competition. Now comes the news that former Toto vocalist Bobby Kimball has been confirmed as the album's second lead vocalist - alongside founder Joe Vana.
Joe Vana commented exclusively for melodicrock.com: "I am beyond excited to have Bobby on the other side of the mic. I have completed more on this record over the last 3 months than the last 3 years!! It is finally rounding the corner on the way to the finish line. After being very sick and thinking I may be checking out, to now working very hard at getting things in order and even playing live at "MRFest2" I am without words really how lucky I am. Mecca II has truly become everything I envisioned it to be 5 years ago.
Bobby has been a dear friend for many years, a mentor and one of my idols...I am blessed to have his enormous talent stand beside me, and for me to hear his voice with Pat's drums over tunes I wrote and co-wrote, well what could I ever dream for more.....the fun has just begun!"
And in reply, Bobby Kimball added his own comments: "I'm very happy to be able to help a friend in need. Joe has always been a good friend, and it's the least I could do to help him by offering my services to get this 2nd CD finished after all he's been through over the past few years. I'll do anything to help my friends, and since it's a music project, that makes it all that much easier to enjoy. I'm sure the Mecca II CD will shine like a diamond soon."

 

Purtroppo ho ancora nelle orecchie la pessima prova di Kimball dal vivo qualche anno fa....lui che per me rappresenta LA VOCE dei Toto.Magari stava poco bene....Se e' tornato in forma,il nuovo dei Mecca si preannuncia interessante!

 

Che brutta notiziaPare che Fergie Frederiksen stia molto molto male.Speriamo esca da questo incubo.

 

Kimball sul nuovo YOSO canta bene. In studio funzionano ancora... dal vivo... come capita.

I just finished listening to the first FINAL mix off of Mecca II...STUNNING...I have been a huge fan of this engineers mixes for some time....but....WOW...and, Pat Mastelotto's drumming on this album is superb....an amazing mix of groove and musicality...the best of his career IMHO...

e poi:

I wrote a bunch of tunes with Frankie for the new Survivor Album....just don't know which ones he is using....they all killed IMHO....

 

E' sicuramente una uscita super attesa.

Proprio pochi giorni fa riascoltavo quel capolavoro del primo disco.

Sarà molto dura ripetersi, però il fatto che ci hanno messo così tanto per arrivare a un secondo lavoro mi fa ben sperare.

 

solo il fatto che Peterik non ha fatto parte della stesura dei pezzi fa capire che difficilmente sarà al livello del debutto, però credo sarà comunque un gran disco! Fergie canta almeno?

 

Mah, secondo me le canzoni saranno divise tra Vana e Kimball, come sul primo erano divise tra Vana e Frederiksen.

Ma la mia è solo una supposizione...
