Ho scoperto questo contest solamente l' altra notte leggendo la "pubblicità" fatta da Asperger su quello Doom, e devo dire che l' ho trovato decisamente interessante...

Ho così stilato una lista dei primi 128 gruppi/artisti (inserendo uno dei brani preferiti o comunque per me più significativi di ciascuno di essi) che mi sono venuti in mente tra la miriade che hanno, chi prima chi dopo, chi più chi meno, chi in un modo chi in un altro, contribuito alla mia "crescita" musicale in ambito metal...

Devo dire che, nonostante mi renda conto che il non porre limiti avrebbe potuto creare confusione, a causa di essi mi sono trovato a non poter inserire numerosi gruppi, a partite da alcuni Gothic anche molto famosi (spesso assenti su Metal Archives !!!) fino a giungere ai Def Leppard (dei quali avrei volentieri messo una "Mirror Mirror (Look Into My Eyes)" o un' "Another Hit and Run", entrambe tratte da quel piccolo gioiello che porta il nome di "High 'n' Dry"...

E comunque, più che altro, se per buttar giù la lista ci ho messo poco più di una mezz' oretta, per controllare i Metal Archives e sostituire i brani "non validi" ci ho perso quasi il triplo del tempo...

In ogni caso, bando alle ciance e via con la lista.........

Sono le 11:30, mancano quindi due ore precise alla fine della fase a liste. Pregherei chi vuole postare una lista in extremis di avvertire subito, in modo tale che, se non ci sono ulteriori persone che vogliono postare la lista, comincio a contare subito le canzoni per avvantaggiarmi.

Non ce l'ho fatta a postare tutti i link prima della scadenza per le liste. Giusto perché li avevo già cercati e salvati quando ho postato la mia lista, metto qui i link dei Metallica (solito discorso: non ce ne sarebbe bisogno perché sono famosissimi e bla bla bla):

Metallica: Creeping Death (eccellente), Master Of Puppets (la mia preferita, da Top 10 metal nella mia testa), Welcome Home (Sanitarium) (una perla), ... And Justice For All (granitica ), One (lo storico video).

Ma di nulla, ci mancherebbe. E' che quel video mi ha davvero colpito, come dici tu è fatto davvero bene.

 

Non è mica obbligatorio, ne postare i link ne fermarsi dal farlo una volta finita la fase a liste.

Intanto vi posso dare un paio di dati: il risultato finale è di 48 liste, leggermente sotto alle mie aspettative. Il numero di band citate nelle liste è invece pari a 691, indice che la varietà delle votazioni è stata comunque alta.

 

Si, lo so che non è obbligatorio postarli, mi ero ripromesso io di farlo ma pazienza :P. Avevo poi deciso comunque di smettere una volta finita la fase delle liste per non "intasare" il topic coi miei link, che magari avrebbero creato confusione con quelli di eventuali spareggi...
Comunque faccio così: finché non passiamo alla prossima fase io continuo.

Megadeth: Peace Sells (questa canzone mi ricorda certe cose di Countdown To Extinction: è una mia impressione sballata? Il finale è esaltante), Set The World Afire (gran struttura), Holy Wars... The Punishment Due (in ambito thrash, nella mia Top 5), Rust In Peace... Polaris (esaltante x 2).

Nocturnal Rites: Ride On (descrizione sintetica: cavalcata powerona ).

Nuclear Assault: The Plague (gruppo conosciuto grazie ai link del sommo Krokgard; questa canzone in particolare, cadenzata, "ossessionante", claustrofobica, apocalittica... mi colpisce molto).

Pain Of Salvation: This Heart Of Mine (I Pledge) (ha superato la concorrenza di altri brani dai vari Entropia, One Hour e soprattutto The Perfect Element, grazie a un valore affettivo; comunque, si tratta di una canzone davvero intrigante per quel mix di dolcezza, amarezza e intenso sfogo nel finale).
