Io devo dire che ho apprezzato moltissimo Theogonia, ma quanho ho sentito il precedente Sanctus Diavolos ammetto di esser rimasto deluso. Boh, a me sto disco proprio non piace. Forse la produzione tra le ragioni? Non saprei precisamente ma mi sembra molto inferiore a Theogonia, ma forse non l'ho capito molto io visti i consensi nel topic.

 

La produzione infatti taglia un pochino le gambe a "Sanctus..." che però resta un bellissimo Album per me"!
Certo devi entrare nell'ordine di idee... e sforzarti di non far caso a una produzione che, per niente pessima, lascia però un po' a desiderare, soprattutto per quanto riguarda la voce di Sakis.
MA canzoni come l'opener "visions of a blind order", "Athanati este", la stessa title track e altre meritano!
E non ti dico la resa live... Una canzone come "Athanati este" che potrebbe su disco dirti poco e sembrare monocorde, dal vivo io vorrei non finisse mai... "SIETE GLI IMMORTALI"

Comunque lo ritengo inferiore sia a "Theogonia" che a "Genesis", (molto) più completi a mio modo di sentire.

 

"Theogonia" è davvero bello!!!!
Probabilmente dei tre che ho sentito è il meglio. Mi sembra il più completo in atmosfere e bilanciamento tra melodia ed aggressività.
Inoltre Sakis ha una voce davvero spettacolare su sto disco.

mmm conto, o più che altro spero, di riuscire ad ascoltarlo tra non molto. Sto cercando di farmi un minimo di cultura anche sul black, genere in cui pecco particolarmente.
"Sanctus" ha una copertina davvero bella, spero che la musica ne sia lo specchio

A leggere le dichiarazioni di Sakis che parla del nuovo Album c'è da sognare... anzi... da viaggiare, per restare in tema con le sue parole:

A title –inspired from the ancient Greek word ΕΑΛΩ which means Thresh-destruction. An distinctive twisted album that is drawing from the bands country’s ancient heritage that translate this rich history into the universal language of Metal.

A concept album that is refered on the feelings of a warrior during a battle. Yes in the end you feel like you were on a real battle…So strong the atmosphere of war. It is a concept album that is refered on the feelings of a warrior during a battle…The anger the fear the grief…feelings that anyone can have when he tries to survive during a battle! Hey nothing to do with a right wind-nazi ideology …It is exactly the opposite! When you end up with the listening you feel like you escaped from a battle!You will hate war!

AEALO’s sound and riffing becomes transformed by traditional female lamenting choirs and ancient reed pipes as well as folkloristic melodies and rhythms into something fresh and fascinating. In combining their Metal and cultural heritage, ROTTING CHRIST remain true to the black roots of their founding in 1987 and at the same time strengthen their brotherhoodin spirit with equally individualist groups. This band is illustrated by a stunning guest performance of the Irish band's vocalist Alan A. Nemtheanga, while a no less amazing contribution comes from Greek-American diva extreme DIAMANDA GALAS in a cover version of her "Orders from the Dead" song!

Also there are and some other guests like Magus Wampyr Daoloth (Necromantia),
Daimoneia Nymphe and Dirty Granny Tales that add their twisted and unique spots in this album’s atmosphere.

This is by far our best and most soulfull album in our carrer SAKIS (the main composer of the band) also states and hope all metal brothers out there to be our fellow passengers with our trip that start up early February 2010.

Che figata totale. Dopo Theogonia che è uno dei miei album preferiti DI SEMPRE, poco dopo il mio compleanno, poco prima di beccarmi gli Ulver..TAC, il loro nuovo album..grazie Horns per la gnùs, mi hai rallegrato la giornata!
che bello. godo come un riccio.
