a me pareva di aver capito che eddie e fratello avessero provato a trattenere Hagar anche dopo il tour di qualche anno fa ma lui rimase inamovibile sul fatto di non voler prendere ancora parte al gruppo(dischi e altri tour) e che Anthony alla fine lo abbia semplicemente seguito.

VAN HALEN, tour interrotto!

I VAN HALEN hanno interrotto momentaneamente il loro tour, i concerti dovrebbero riprendere a partire dal 19 Aprile. Tutto questo per permettere ad EDDIE di seguire un trattamento medico.

 

A quanto ne so, il litigio tra SH/MA e gli altri è nato dal fatto che i due in coppia usavano a sproposito il nome dei VH...

 

Allora:o
- i due Van Halen gia` da anni non ne volevano piu` sapere di avere Anthony (tant'e` che in VH III ha suonato poco o niente) nella band, e fu Sammy Hagar a "costringere" i due a tenerlo all'interno della band per i reunion tour
- una volta uscito Sammy i fratelli VH si sono sbarazzati anche di Anthony, visto che l'unico che lo voleva era proprio Sammy
-al che il buon Michael se ne e` andato in tournee' con Sammy e proponevano brani del periodo VanHagar a nome "THe Other Half"...una chiara allusione, ma senza nessuna pretesa di rubare il nome a nessuno...

 

Avevo letto un articolo e avevo, evidentemente, capito male :-)

 

Mah..da quello che ne so io..il buo vecchio Sammy...dopo la reunion ha avuto la proposta di continuare ma a lui non li interessava...x quanto riguarada Anthony..be' aveva semplicemente capito che i VH erano finiti ...e credo aveva porprio ragione...

 

Io sapevo che, anche prima della pubblicazione di "Best of both world", l'ultima raccolta doppia con 3 pezzi nuovi cantati da Hagar, lo setto redrocker aveva già annunciato la sua intenzione di non andare oltre il tour trionfale che fecero in giro per gli USA.

Da quel che ho capito Hagar fu inamovibile.
Alla fine i fratelli sanno perfettamente che uno come lui non lo si rimpiazza con nessuno!

Poi so che comunque da anni Micheal Antony è socio in affari con lo stesso hagar (con il ristorante e le cover band) per cui sapevo che Antony lo aveva semplicemente seguito per curare i propri affari.

 

E come dare torto ad Hagar? Fare un tour intero con i Van Halen di oggi è come tentare la traversata dell'atlantico in canotto...

" According to Danny Glessner of the San Antonio Express-News, many reports from VAN HALEN's 2004 reunion tour suggested guitar legend Eddie Van Halen was out of sorts due to a storm of recent troubles including cancer, divorce and reports of heavy drinking. Whatever the problems, the tour was not resting well with VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony, whose loyalty to Sammy Hagar strained his relations with the Van Halen brothers.

"I've always tried to skate around these questions," Anthony told the San Antonio Express-News. "But the fact of the matter is when we did the tour in 2004, Ed didn't want me there because of my relationship with Sammy. I sucked it up and took less pay, because I thought if it was the last time VAN HALEN went out and toured, and I wasn't part of it, I would really be upset.

"To sign on to do the tour, they made me relinquish any rights and claims I had to the (VAN HALEN) name, the logo, whatever. At this point, there is basically nothing going on as far as VAN HALEN goes. It's tough to say that, but I'm not going to sugarcoat anything any more."

Hagar said he is in the same boat as Anthony when it comes to forecasting the future. "

queste sono vecchie storie. Io credo che droghe e soldi abbiano logorato per sempre l'unità della band, che cmq è sempre stata sul filo del rasoio. Ripeto, finchè le droghe funzionavano, i VH hanno sfondato e retto il peso del successo, ma poi hanno fatto collassare il gruppo già labile di suo. Ricordiamoci che il leader, ovvero Eddie, è sempre stato fragile come personalità

 

nuovo supergruppo con Hagar,Chad Smith,Anthony e mr.Satriani..il 1 settembre entreranno in studio...altro ke Roth e soci...
