RE-ISSUES:

The re-issues of NOBLE SAVAGE and AGE OF CONSENT were released
the first week of February. Both albums contain new booklets and photos, and have been Re-Mastered, with additional Bonus Tracks added.

On the AGE OF CONSENT CD, the Group has added a previously unreleased track called
"The Curse", and a previously unreleased version of their cover of Judas
Priest's "Screaming For Vengeance". When asked about these tracks by this writer,
VS vocalist David DeFeis had this to say, " The Curse is something from
quite awhile back that we never did anything with. It has a very out of
control quality, and is meant to sound deranged and manic. The "Screaming" track
was recorded as if Led Zeppelin had walked into a rowdy, Bluesy Bar and just
stepped up onstage for an impromptu jam. It is also out of control, wild
and frenzied, and is different from the Priest version. We have changed it
'round a bit".

The Bonus Tracks on the NOBLE SAVAGE CD, are the (Roman Sword Re-mix) of
the song "Fight Tooth & Nail", and an alternate version of the title track.
An Internet Ep for each album containing more unreleased tracks, is also
scheduled to follow these releases over the next weeks after the CD's
hit the street. The Internet Ep's will have a downloadable cover and other liner notes/artwork. Regarding this the Group said..."this is simply a rare special thing for our Fans. The Ep's will feature a few extra things that we couldn't fit on the album due to the already extreme length of each disc". Each disc clocks in at well over 70 minutes.

speriamo che facciano un bel lavoro su quei due capolavori. senza intaccare la bellezza intrinseca...

 

Ci sta, ci sta... Con tutti i capolavori che hanno sfornato.
Come sempre è un fattore di gusti.
Io invece trovo la voce di Defeis su VOE eccezionale.
Credo sia normale che hai più il cambiamento di rotta avvenuto con l'ultimo album non sia andato a genio. Ma io trovo la resa finale ancor più originale e caratteristica. Un album unico. Non lo trovo assolutamente un prodotto piatto ma anzi ricco e ben strutturato. Che emoziona come pochi.
Vedremo il futuro cosa ci riserva. Ma credo che quantomeno sul prossimo (essendo legato strettamente a questo) i suoni saranno simili.

 

Non mi sorprenderebbe qualche accorgimento in più a livello di produzione; è lo spirito intimo, remoto introspettivo dell'album che rimarrà intatto invece.

 

Anche a me è piaciuto molto Visions of Eden, un lavoro che, anche se poco caratterizzato dalle chitarre, è molto complesso e strutturato e corredato dall'ottima voce di Defeis, stavolta sempre più protagonista assoluto.

 

io invece, non so perché, me l'aspetto più un album sullo stile di age of consent... un ritorno al vecchio stile...

se cosi` fosse festeggerei a champagne per un anno intero...l'ultimo album per quanto bello - al di la` di tutti i difetti di produzione - di Heavy Metal aveva poco e niente...

 

ragazzi sapete dirmi quali sono le tracce bonus della seconda edizione di age of consent??
da quello che ho capito perfect mansions, serpent's kiss, e desert plains(cover judas priest).........
giusto?confermate?



certo che AOC nella seconda parte se smoscia un po'.....diventa piu' hard rock che heavy......(parere personale)

 

Su AOC ci sarà The Curse e Screaming for vengeance ( judas priest cover ) e su Noble Savage ci sarà Fight Tooth & Nail (Roman Sword Re-mix) e una versione alternativa di Noble savage...

 

io intendevo le bonus track della vecchia versione(ovvero della seconda, quella che deve uscire sara' la terza)

 

io ho la seconda versione, e sinceramente non credevo che ci fossero delle bonus track rispetto alla prima.... :S

 

beh, si sente che Perfect Mansions e Serpent's Kiss c'azzeccano poco ocn il resto del disco in quanto scritte anni più tardi!
