Blind Guardian

... e questo è davvero un peccato. Con tutto il rispetto per il percorso musicale intrapreso dai Bardi da Nightfall in poi, io avrei preferito di molto che avessero continuato sullo stile dei primi 4 dischi, con quello stupendo speed-power con qualche sfuriata thrash di tanto in tanto. Gli album che sono seguiti a Somewhere Far Beyond sono si tutti molto validi (capolavori Immaginations e Nightfall), ma snaturano lo stile delle origini dei BG, che, almeno per i miei gusti, era davvero meraviglioso.

 

io invece no. Quegli album sono capolavori che resteranno sempre lì nella storia ma preferisco vedere una band in continua evoluzione, che non resta mai fermo modificando sempre il proprio sound ma restando però sempre fottutamente blind guardian.

 

beh... io preferisco nettamente nightfall in the middle earth ai primi dischi.... mi piace di più come stile.

gusti ovviamente, ma secondo mè quello è di gran lunga il loro album migliore

 

per me nn e solo questione di gusti....i primi cd sono troppo power metal con pregi e difetti....

 

Per me personalmente gli album meno brillanti dei bardi sono i primi due e l'ultimo.
Gli altri superano tutti il 90.
Picco massimo si raggiunge con Imaginations From The Otherside seguito a ruota da Nightfall...

Tranne che l'ultimo cd lo preferisco ai primi 2.
Per i miei gusti infatti è meglio dei primi 2, sia come stile sia perchè comunque contiene canzoni che mi piacciono molto(come otherland o turn the page) ma purtoppo non mi sento di metterlo nell'Olimpo insieme a imaginations ecc. perchè contiene anche canzoni che non adoro(fly nonostante tutti gli sforzi non sono riuscita a digerirla del tutto..), soprattutto tra quelle più "sperimentali" e per questo mi stà venendo un po' paura che non mi piaccia da impazzire neanche il prossimo cd..
Di imaginations o nightfall invece adoro ogni singola canzone

 

io adoro i primi dischi dei Bg, certo, non tutte le canzoni sono memorabili, ma quella "cattiveria" e potenza, che raggiunge l apice in imaginations from the other side, scema a cascata dopo quest ultimo, fino a raggiungere le mediocri acque di atitm

 

ehm..in verità siamo d'accordo anche su questo

 

io c'ho messo un pò ad amare a twist in the myth. All'inizio mi piaceva ma non mi convinceva in pieno. Oggi invece lo reputo un album più che ottimo.
Fly continua a restare un caso strano però. Sono entrato al gods of metal convinto che fosse una buona canzone e sono uscito dal gods convnito che sia un capolavoro :P

 

fly non riesco proprio a farmela piacere...per me con lo stile dei blind si sposa come i cavoli a merenda, per me This Will Never End e Skalds and Shadows sono le due canzoni di ATITM che anche col tempo non mi hanno ancora stufato, due colpi eccellenti.

 

Di ATITM le mie preferite sono Otherland e Fly (dal vivo è veramente uno spettacolo!!) bella è anke Skalds And Shadows!mentre il resto è trascurabile...

Hi there,

Even though it is a little late we would like to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008. After finishing all touring activies with the final one in Krefeld, we suppose you can imagine how much we have enjoyed last year's Christmas season. Obviously everyone gained an enourmous amount of weight during these days. Now, even for an insider it is a little difficult to recognize who is who while we are jamming in the rehearsal room. I am sure, or at least I hope, we will be in good shape when we do the videoshooting for the computer game.

From next week on we will continue working with Charlie Bauerfeind on the "Sacred" mission. After doing some basics last December we will now finalize two strong songs from which one will be used for the game. I guess you all agree that two songs won't do it for an EP. So instead of releasing an EP later on in the year we are going to keep these two songs to be used for the next album in one or the other way. The material contains the handwriting of the "ATitM" album and certainly won't be representative for the style of the next one.

Apart from having these songs in production we are currently discussing the musical direction for the new songwriting. We already have a pretty good vision of what we want to accomplish during the next two years. As usual there will be some musical changes, but for most part we intend to keep the direction of the last four albums, whatever that exactly means we will see in 2010, I suppose. :-)

Another important issue will be the orchestral project, which we will bring to an end during that next songwriting period. Mark my words. Since the songs for it are written for most of the parts this is more a matter of coordination. All in all we are ready for a new era, if there weren't these extra pounds of weight which we have to get rid of before we can seriously start. :-)

As for touring activies I doubt we are going to play any concerts up to the end of 2009. Any earlier appearance would be a big suprise, but you never know...

2010... più o meno come mi aspettavo insomma. Speriamo all'inizio e non alla fine però :P

ebbasta completatelo sto progetto io speravo che uscisse in quest'anno... potrebbe ancora essere possibile ma potrebbe anche arrivare più tadri quindi.

ma...ma... e il blind guardian open air festival? Dov'è? Io lo voglio!!
