Latvian metallers Skyforger continue to work hard on their new album which will be dedicated to the Old Prussians. The band has now updated on how things are going. The recording process is moving along nicely. With their last album Kurbads released back in 2010, what do you expect from the new one?

They posted the following message on their Facebook page: "Some news from studio. We have not been idle - recently we did finish all acoustic and folk parts for new album. Peter did 'kokle' work and all pipes, Zirgs recorded his 'ģīga', Egons nailed acoustic guitar and for bagpipes this time we invited Mārtiņš from medieval band Obscurus Orbis. Now next thing to do - vocals!"

Skyforger will also be part of this year's Kilkim Žaibu festival at Varniai, Lithuania, happening from June 20th-22nd. Other bands already confirmed are Wardruna, Rotting Christ, Asphyx, Moonsorrow, Endstille, Vulture Industries, Ereb Altor, and more.

Latvian folk metallers Skyforger are one step closer to completing their new album. While their last album Kurbads came out almost 4 years ago, the wait is almost over to hear the new material. The recordings are completed and the album will now be mixed and mastered.

Here is their latest update: "Some studio news! We have come to and end of our recording session - all vocals are finally done and now we are left only with mixing and mastering. We hope to upload one of the new songs here very soon for you to hear how it all sounds, so stay in touch."
