"We had no plans to start with a new album, then came Covid. "Aphelion" is a very different album. It's intuitive and spontaneous. We've experimented with many completely different ways of writing music and explored new ways to work. There has been no room for overthinking, exaggerated perfectionism or carefully planned songs. I believe this is one of the strengths of this album. It feels alive, it feels free and it does not come across as too calculated. The album was recorded in three different studios, and a few of the songs were actually recorded in all three studios, Ghost Ward Studios, Ocean Sound Recordings and Cederberg Studios. The aphelion is the point in the orbit of an object where it is farthest from the sun, and it has a symbolic value which I will leave to your own interpretation." - Einar Solberg

Non vedo l'ora

 

Ci sarò

 

Purtroppo non mi aspetto niente di positivo. Hanno cominciato a pubblicare troppi album in troppo poco tempo. Già gli ultimi non mi hanno molto interessato, se poi dicono che l'hanno scritto con la mano sinistra durante il covid, direi che non mi fido molto.

 

Indipendentemente dal tempo a disposizione questi ragazzi (o questo ragazzo, vista la presenza enorme di Einar) sfornano solo capolavori o quasi. Se il livello è questo (immagino che sarà presente nel disco), mi sa che ne preparano un altro.

Abbandoneranno definitivamente qualsiasi velleità metal?
Insomma un disco molto moscio ma bellissmo.

 

Però boh: mosci i Leprous? Sarà che io li seguo da sempre e li ho visti 4 volte dal vivo uscendone sempre con denti e ossa rotte, pur stordito dalla bellezza "lirica" di certi passaggi. Insomma, io non mi abituo all'idea dei Leprous mosci.

 

Ma mosci rispetto a quello che uno si aspetta da una band "heavy", ma l'ultimo bellissimo Spitfall non è affatto moscio, solamente poco heavy.
