Iron Maiden - Topic Ufficiale

Io no certo DoD è un labum non facile, ma 20 anni fa non lu fu nemmeno 7th Son, ma x quei tempi, la band ora vuole fare le cose Grosse, e credo che hanno tutto il diritto

 

A parte che le Cose Grosse spesso mi sanno di Arrampicata Sugli Specchi,il fare canzoni di sette ore per far dire a tutti,Mio dio quanto sono maturi,sentito che roba complessa che fanno per poi ripetere 386 volte il titolo in ogni canzone perchè altro da dire non si trova,potrete pensare che la loro arte si stia elevando a livelli divini,io ci vedo solo sei personaggi che avrebbero dovuto smettere un attimino prima..........PURTROPPO.

 

però non puoi dire che canzoni come no more lies siano brutte, seppure di sette minuti e con ripetizione in loop del titolo.... questa canzone live fa sempre il suo effetto

 

Primo non fanno di 7ore, secondo non mi pare che si ripetano tantissimo, certo a volte succede ma non tutte le song sono così, basti sentire Dance of Death o Paschandele, capisco che ora sono meno assamilabili rispetto un brano diretto di pochi minuti, questo ok, ma sinceramente non sento i Maiden alla frutta anzi negli utlimi 2 album stanno dimostrando ancora tanto, se non vi piacciono non seguiteli più

 

A sto punto o fanno 1 capolavoro o questo nuovo album sarà destinato ad essere ascoltato pochino, vista la durata delle canzoni!
Tuttavia ho notato una buona partecipazione di Smith e Dickionson nei credits delle canzoni e questo mi fa ben sperare!
Different Worlds sarà il primo singolo?

 

Ma non compro un cd che poi per rendere devo andare a vedere il concerto

Iron Maiden continues down the progressive path, the material evermore fluctuating between soft and hard. Merely one track, the album opener "Different Worlds", is shorter than five minutes long, and the giant "For the Greater Good of God" measures almost nine and a half minutes. It is big, bigger and biggest that matters. With no real exceptions."
"Friends of grand arrangements will get their appetite fed and most of the songs reuses the complex structures that defines Iron Maiden. Then add something of a ballad in the same style as "Children of the Damned", and Bruce Dickinsons solotrack "Tears of the Dragon", in "Out of the Sahdows" and you've got an album that's way up there."




Or, as Steve puts it, "Nicko knew the songs much better this time. On every record I usually have a fight with Nicko over arrangements and such. This time we didn't have any and it made us worry." Says Nicko: "I think it's a lot because I've been more mature this time. I have taken into consideration what the song needs, not what I'd like to play"

During the making of Dance of Death, however, the fights were much more plentiful. "It went so far we stood shouting at each other", says Nicko. "I was so angry we almost started fighting."

Steve also explains the thoughts behind the new album's title, A Matter of Life and Death: "Six, seven songs on record circles around war and religion. Religion has caused more death, pain and misery than anything else. And we never seem to learn. Unbelievable."

Regarding the future, Steve is more doubtful. "From the beginning I've said Maiden will make fifteen studio albums. In that case there's only one left and that makes me sad. There is a life after Maiden. And there's a lot I'd like to do I don't have time for now. Sure I'd miss the band, but there's no reason to live in the past. We'd probably piss off some people if we quit, but the day we don't want to do it anymore it's over."

Aftonbladet also got to listen to Maiden's new album and describes it in the second article. There's a lot of empty words in it but summing it up, here's what it says:

- If you liked Brave New World and Dance of Death, you'll be happy with it.
- The band continues on the progressive road and the music often switches between soft and hard.
- The big arrangements and complex structures of the last albums return.
- "Out of the Shadows" is said to sound a bit like Children of the Damned and Bruce's classic solo number Tears of the Dragon.

e cosa intende dire in questo contesto??

 

Suvvia,era un modo di dire come quando si dice Non mangio da secoli,non crederai che ci sia qualche Druido longevo nella nostra società

 

parlando della fine della carriera dei Maiden, lui con questa frase intende: "nel giorno che non vorremo più farlo, smetteremo, sarà finita"

ecco cosa intende, che i Maiden continueranno finchè lo vorranno.

Cmq prima ho letto un tale che diceva che la qualità non sarà quella di Dance of Death? Mi chiedo se non l'abbia già sentito per sparare sentenze...

 

Personalmente sono parecchio fiducioso sul nuovo album! Secondo me sarà diverso rispetto a dance of death, forse più profondo/personale. Penso ci sarà più melodia, con qualche influenza in più dall'ottima carriera solista di Bruce (infatti Dickinson ha partecipato abbastanza al songwriting del nuovo album!). Insomma, credo che non resterò deluso nemmeno stavolta!

Moggi potrebbe convincere Dickinson a duettare cn gigi d'alessio!!! un orologio da 40 milioni e via!

 

ragazzi avete notato che l'intro di The Clansman è similissimo all'intro di Infinite Dreams???
l'h scoperto guardando le tablature di entrambe le canzoni e ho voluto confermare ascoltandole!!
anche le sezioni di batteria e di basso sono simili!

 

non è che si assomilgiano. sono uguali!!!!! stessa parte solista, stesso basso e batteria.... mi chiedo, lo avranno fatto apposta a richiamare l'inizio di infinite dreams? magari a livello di liriche, non so

 

stesso basso assolutamente no....per l'intro si è vero ma solo il riff di chitarra...il basso è diversissimo...

 

hai ragione ho esagerato in infinte il basso è stupendo, mentre in clansman fa solo da accompagnamento, ma poi io non suono mica il basso e non sono il più adatto a dire certe cose
