Parliamo un po' di True Epic Metal...

attendiamo l'aggiornamento al 31 dicembre 2015...non dimenticarti, eh!

 

Ho aggiornato la lista. Probabilmente dimentico qualcosa, perchè ho aggiunto veramente poco!!! (li ho raggruppati anche in fondo al messaggio, come NUOVI INSERIMENTI, in modo che possiate vederli più rapidamente!!)
Ho riportato sia roba dal 2014 ad oggi, sia materiale vecchio che non avevamo ancora inserito, perchè non lo conoscevamo o per dimenticanza.
Notare la presenza di due demo, i nuovissimi ASSAL (da tenere d'occhio!!!) e i cult heroes WARBRINGER, con una demo di ormai più di dieci anni fa. Alcune band, tipo ILLEGAL BODIES o BLACK SOUL HORDE viaggiano in bilico sul mondo dell'epic metal, li ho inseriti ugualmente, poi decidete voi...(e soprattutto non ho inserito l'album dei Medieval Steel e degli Adramelch perchè totalmente lontano dall'epic, secondo me, e nemmeno le migliaia di live e raccolte e riregistrazioni dei Warlord!!!!)

Spettacolare! Ho comprato la ristampa in CD qualche tempo fa In alcuni frangenti la voce mi fa storcere un po' il naso ma i riff sono un orgasmo continuo!

 

Se c'è qualcuno che va all'Up the Hammers, dateci notizie dei Virgin Steele per favore.....

 

Ho aspettato la ristampa per anni, quando poi è uscita sai cosa ho fatto? Ho volutamente comprato il bootleg, quello della Hot metal records assieme ai romani Astaroth. Dimmi se non sono pirla! Questi doppi bootleg oltre ad una resa sonora non proprio buona, creano un altro problema: in base a quale ordine alfabetico lo inserisco? Nella "L" o nella "A" ????

 

Io vado, principalmente per i VS (lieto di vedere Lethal e Ironsword, e anche curioso riguardo al tributo agli Heavy Load), ben sapendo che i fasti di Tradate me li sogno...cmq vi farò sapere.
Ci sarà qualcun altro del forum?

Francamente, dei "nuovi inserimenti" diversi mi paiono decisamente fuori genere.
"Massoneria" dei RC, per dire, non è Epic Metal.
Né il secondo Crom, né gli HellWell. E secondo me nemmeno The White Goddess degli AK - che col tempo mi ha conquistato, ma non è Epic.

Sui Lord of the Crimsom Alliance potremmo discutere a lungo.

In compenso non hai nemmeno ipotizzato "The Lord of Steel" (giustamente)

Esatto.
Questa lista, almeno aggiornata fino al 2014, nacque da me, Stellar e l'epico Charlie - e nacque assieme al sogno (mai realizzato) di redigere la Definitiva e Suprema e Immortale (ma Soprattutto mai Veramente Completa) Guida al Metallo Epico (che io avrei intitolato Sangue e Ferro).

Tutto quel che ne resta è una dozzina di mail e un file Excel

 

stesso problema dello scorso aggiornamento...forse bisognerà iniziare a pensarla in termini di percentuale...sopra/sotto il 50, quanto vicino a 1 o a 100...

ah, ho capito...pensavo ci fosse qualche altra lista o file da altre parti "pubbliche"...mi ricordo di questa cosa, ne avevate già parlato, sempre in occasione dell'aggiornamento...

 

Oppure... fregarsene e lasciarci ai nostri deliri
Diciamo che io sono più "duro" e guardo al concetto. Altra disputa: includere o meno demo ed EP.

Ma alla fine... rimane un file, e quindi ci sta bene tutto. Il progetto non avrebbe mai potuto vedere la luce... non ci accordammo nemmeno su cosa avrebbe realmente dovuto essere

 

sicuramente si, per me...anche perché magari alcuni gruppi sono nati e morti nell'arco di un EP che rimane l'unica testimonianza...
