Madò, quanta bella roba che sto scoprendo con le liste già postate... The Nile song in versione Voivod è spaventosa! Però questa mi sa che ancora non l'ha messa nessuno: per me una delle migliori di sempre, perchè contiene esattamente lo spirito dell'originale:

La cover di Still I'm sad fatta dai Rainbow è disponibile in tre versioni (più una): quella che ho inserito è la versione originale, quasi totalmente strumentale eccettuati i cori femminili di sottofondo; poi c'è quella che compare su On Stage, cantata dal vivo da RJ Dio; e quella bellissima che Blackmore incise per l'album Stranger in us all. La "più una" è la cover della cover, fatta da Axel Rudi Pell e cantata da Johnny Gioeli; tutto questo per dire che, essendo i Rainbow una band piuttosto borderline tra heavy metal e hard rock, mi appello all'insindacabile giudizio dell'ottimo Reign circa l'accettabilità del brano che ho inserito. Eventualmente posso sostituire alla versione originale proprio questa ultima versione.

A proposito: bravo Reign, gran bella iniziativa.

Still I'm sad rifatta dai Rainbow è un gran pezzo, ma mi sa che non te li accetta come gruppo.

 

L'ho riascoltata poco prima di redigere la lista e sinceramente non mi convince.

Fatto. Ho editato la lista. Trattandosi della cover della versione dei Rainbow cantata da Dio ho messo questi ultimi come autori del pezzo, anzichè i The Yardbirds.
